Shrapnel: I don't get this, when you flashed the rom did you do a cache partition wipe and a dalvik cache wipe along with the factory reset?

By the way, thanks for the in depth on k13A Nofam, I've already flashed it, just paranoid

Uh oh. I did wipe the dalvik cache and did the factory reset but did not do a cache partition wipe. My rookieness in flashing I think.

Will try a reflash tonight perhaps.

You don't need to do a reflash of the rom to wipe the cache partition if thats why you were doing so, as far as I know, did one the other day when messing around with kernels for a fresh start.

i been looking for a while for one of these ,a Landscape Charging Desk Stand Dock.

could use the galaxy for a alarm clock with a cool animation in the background or watching videos..., problem is would it wreck the screen being on so long on ?

Samsung US has the offical doobrie here for US$40. Not cheap, but presumably guaranteed. Don't know what the shipping would be but should be cheaper than from the UK. Could be available from Korea too which would be cheaper still I think...

@ArtooDetoo one of those links was for an I500 phone, the other didn't show a proper image. I ordered a (hopefully) legit oem battery from ebay, the seller was in the US. I found something else that's quite cool too - an extended battery with a stand check out: http://cgi.ebay.com/Momax-EXPower-Battery-Stand-Samsung-Galaxy-S-i9000-/130475597600?pt=PDA_Accessor...

Hi lokhor. The extended battery you're talking about is also recommended for the Galaxy S Fascinate (there's a place on that page which links the other phones that the battery works with). I pointed that one out as its greater duration might work for you. I'm thinking of getting one for myself and selling my spare on TradeMe. See here for compatible phones...

I'll check out your link above.

Cheers,

So Doc's ROM.

Quite impressed. Slick and fast. On 76% Battery after 35 hours with low to moderate use which is insane. Best battery life I've had EVER!

Might stick on this boat for a while :)

Can get good rip offs from Hong Kong off ebay for $12au have to say I don't like the ugly back you need to make the batteries fit but that is the price you pay for longer usage I guess.

It might be compatible with the Fascinate but I doubt that it will fit the I9000, the backs are different and it requires a custom backplate.
