Anyone using one of these?

I'm thinking of getting one from YahooXtra Shopping (anyone used YahooXtra Shopping?) to use on the Voda network.

I was originally looking at the HTC Touch 2 - but for about $100 more - this has got to be the phone right?

Would be interested in peoples thoughts (on both the phone with Voda and YahooXtra shopping).

Cheers,

My wife bought one as a cheaper alternative to my Desire. It seems pretty good - the screen's a lot smaller and lower quality, but still good enough. Battery life seems to be 2-3 days per charge although it's still pretty early days. Build quality is the same as the Desire, and it feels nice and solid (but light) in the hand.

We're on 2 degrees and got it via clove, so I can't give you any info about the other stuff.

If I was on vodafone, this is what I'd be getting, I have decided to get the desire as I'm on telecom however.

I actual received my A3333 Wildfire today from Clove in the UK. Got it as an inexpensive placeholder until the next round of higher spec phones come out end 2010, beginning 2011.

What can I say? It seems great! Good build quality, inexpensive, and everything works. Screen is reasonably lo-res but perfectly legible for email, txt, etc. Resolution doesn't provide a great web surfing experience, especially on busy web sites, but google maps display is perfectly usable. I'm stoked!

I doubt there is another sub $500 android phone out there that would match this one. If the telecos here could get there act together and bring these in they'd be on to a sure winner. Incidentally, even though the phone supports 3G 900/2100, I have it running with an XT SIM in suburban Christchurch on 2100 (I assume) 2.68/0.31 Mbps.

Great service from Clove! Ordered on Thursday night our time, arrived this afternoon. Used Royal Mail Airsure shipping option and (so far - touch wood) have not been charged GST. Phone was GB195, shipping GB24.

Overall, sweet little handset. Not highest specs at the moment, but in another 6mths the current range toppers won't be looking so flash either.

Try somewhere a little more remote and your XT coverage will shrink to nothing :P

It certainly does appear a sweet handset for the price.

Yes, fair call. Its a pity there is no 850Mhz version of the wildfire. I would prefer XT in NZ for the superior coverage too. Because of the screen limitations I 'm picking that I won't be chugging through the Mbs surfing so 2dergrees/ Vodafone will suffice. Plus the mobile telecos in Aus mostly use 900/2100 so I can use it with my Virgin SIM there too.

If you're after an economical intro to the android sphere, and don't mind using 2d/VFNZ I say get one!
