I got the App Inventor invite this morning. I made an app that checks the prepay and text balance on Vodafone pretty easily. Basically it is a easier way to send bal to 777 and myaddons to 756. What have you been making?

Oh cool. I still haven't made anything interesting yet, and to be honest when I do get round to doing something properly I'll probably just code it.

It's a pity you can't get java code out of the app inventor (yet).

I haven't looked at it yet... mainly cause I know that if I invest time in learning how to use it, I will find something I want to do that it can't do. I'll end up just going back and writing my own code, so saves me effort to just stick with code.

I'll be sitting down with it this weekend to see what I can do.

I've decided a little project for me is to make an app for submitting meter readings to powershop.co.nz.

If I can do just that....I'll be happy...and can add more function later. I haven't looked at the  API yet..so it may not even be possible.

But I'll start by assuming it is.
