I bought this phone 2 days ago, and I'm having problems with getting GPS to find my location without using wireless networks - indoor and out. I've tried a couple of solutions on the internet, but no success.

Does anyone here have any suggestions?

How weird. After changing my settings - THEN - changing my settings back to the original settings, I can now pick up GPS. Very odd. I'll outline what settings I changed later on tonight for anyone who'd be interested in the future.

How did you get on with that gps Rapelle? what settings did you change?

Sorry. Completely forgot to reply.
All I did was mess around with my GPS settings (*#*#1472365#*#*)
then returned them to the original ones the phone came with.

I do have to launch the GPS test app before using any application that requires GPS though.
Sorry I can't be of more help as to exact settings.. Lost the page I used.

Sounds the same as did for my Galaxy 3 (i5800) and the same process.

Good news (for me?)

Earlier this week I was meeting a friend out at the airport who had to go somewhere. Long story short, I popped up Navigation, and it worked first go.

I don't know what's going on with this, but I was pleased it worked then!
