@lofreq I have just released a new version of TradeDroid Pro that allows you to zoom listing photos. Thanks to the helpful guys over at Sony Ericsson, check out their tutorial here if you would like to add photo zooming to your app.

wintersm: I posted up an widget for 2degrees customers to show their prepay / txt / data balances..

See the 2degrees form or download from

http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/2Degrees_Balance_Widget

I downloaded the app - but couldn't find it anywhere after the install? I have a LG p500 which has a separate section for downloaded apps, but it wasn't there. I searched on the file manager and saw that it installed itself onto my SD card, but I couldn't work out how to use it, so I deleted it.

Any advice? What am I missing?

cheers

I have made nz data available on the Layar http://www.layar.com augmented reality browser that shows....

1. Cell phone tower locations for all of nz http://www.layar.com/layers/nzcelltowers
2. The Waikato District Council property valuations and rates for all the properties in the WDC region
http://www.layar.com/layers/halllayar

Layar is also getting some press at http://nz.m.yahoo.com/w/ygo-frontpage/lp/story/http%3A%2F%2Fau.syndication.yahoo.com%2Fmobilefeedsnz%2F8692811.xml/detail.bp%3B_ylt=A2KIP7e5XjlNU04Arwwp89w4?ref_w=frontdoors&view=today&.tsrc=tnz&.intl=nz&.lang=en-nz

Not a NZ app, so maybe off-topic, but as a solution for tracking data use, try 3G watchdog.

To make my post more on-topic, anyone tried out Ranger for NZ tracks?

I would most definitely pay for a Sky TV app that would allow remote recording and bookings.

A vodafone widget for plans which show balances for text/minutes/data would be brilliant.

In fact very surprised these two aren't being rolled out. Be good money to be had.

As Sky are a bit protective of their EPG they won't let you look at it unless it is in a 3 mb flash insert in a web page..... (actually I don't know how big it is but it is certainly slowwww to use on their web page). I can't see an API being released any time soon for the Sky EPG!

Cheers, Matt

I am working on a version of my 2degrees balance widget, which reads the m.vodafone.co.nz site for information, seems that their site may like cookies or something though as when I just read the page I get some imbedded error message, will be a way around that though..

currently getting pre-pay balance and attempting to get the "extras" that the account I am using has..
