2degrees
No data conenction unless Data roaming is turned on in the settings.

The option above that is 'Data enabled (Enable data access over Mobile network)

This used to be the only one i had selected but now even with this on it only has a plain phone connection no data traffic.

I cant work out why I now have to tick Data Roaming?

Where are you? This should only be required when you are outside 2degrees native coverage (which is Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Q'town) and 'roaming' on Vodafone's network.

You must be roaming on VF (see the R above the signal strength indicator). Note this will affect what you pay for BB data (no issue if you're using national data packs).
