Very interesting that the kernel can control alot of the benchmark results. Will you be developing a kernel of your own to go along with the sensation rom or are you going to incorporate one of the favourites atm. I agree with you that fastest is not always best and the feel of the rom is important.

Here's my post re the original telecom s2 firmware

haven't needed to use it myself, though did download the firmware, hence the previous screenshot.
Damager: woooo hoooo thanks to defragger in the i9000 thread, ive managed to get the stock firmware for the Telecom 9100T. In fact you can also get the Vodafone one as well :-)

http://fus.nanzen.se/#GT-I9100

Down the Vus downloader, change settings to Android, Country to NZ and then select GT-9100T and then select TNZ. If you select "Test" then i believe that reveals future firmwares not visible via Kies

Hit download and you're away. Flash with Odin. I like the look of the Galaxy Nexus so may sell my S2. Will do more research and wait for NZTechfreak's reviews before deciding. I wouldnt mind the slightly bigger screen and fine going from 8MP camera to 5 on the Nexus.

Here's the details:

Product Code: GT-I9100TLKJTNZ
Latest firmware: I9100TDOKH1/I9100TTNZKH1/I9100TDOKG2/I9100TDOKH1
Modified: 6/08/2011 11:58:06 a.m.
Filename: GT-I9100T_TNZ_1_20110806115756.zip.enc2

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'

ready and waiting to be a beta tester :-) just wondered if you've tried dlev7's dlev2 3.1 rom.. i'm a big fan and find his rom runs quick, performs well with very few crashes or other errors.

if you could incorporate his system enhancement feel, that would be great, but if you think yours would rock, then by all means, i'm keen to try what you cook up for us :-)

Apologies for another newb question, but...

I have a stock Telecom SGS2. Love it apart from one thing. Whenever I watch a video (regardless of the site) it'll play the video for 5 or 6 minutes and then error message..

This video cannot be played

Then it exits back to the homescreen (?)

Doesn't matter whether I use stock video player, Meridian, Double Twist or whatever.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
B

usually means your connection to the site has broken. If the stream breaks, and the browser's internal buffer has finished, it won't be able to continue.

That sucks. But it does this every time regardless of the site I'm on. Surely there must be something else going on to cause this...

have you tried other browsers? install dolphin hd browser and install adobe flash 11.1 from the market.. set your user agent to "desktop".. see how you go.

Seems alot of you prefer the DlevROM, is that just because its 2.3.4 not 2.3.5?
