BigHammer: Evernote is a cross platform app that may do what you want?

Just tried that. doesn't do nested tasks and you can't use checklists automatically. Apparently it's not designed for that.

To-do sync on multiple devices I use an Exchange server, not likely you have one at home, but maybe work? (sorry could not quote original with GZ mobile)

This will require Outlook for PC, but will sync with iOS, Symbian, WP7 and Android.

Anyone know what the default font and size of font is on most roms? CheckROM HD uses this really large font and it's annoying.

A workmate with an SGSII hit me up today about a strange issue he's having with his screen not fully switching off - occasionally, when he presses the power button, the screen dims quite slowly, and you can still faintly see the screen - it's not like phosphor burn-in though, as you can actually move between screens, and it's obviously not backlight, being an SAMOLED screen.  Apparently, when it does it, it's really only visible in a dark room.

I compared his and my phones today using the light sensor mode *#0589# and I did seem to get higher readings, but I put this down to his running completely stock, and mine running a custom kernel?

Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Nitrality ;-)  Very useful little app mate!

I had both phones side-by-side on the desk under fluorescent lights (usual office setup), and mine was reading around 480 to his 380 or so. . . .if I covered both sensors with my fingers, they each showed around 10 lux.  Just wondering if it's even related to the light sensor - if so, I'm gonna do some digging and see if there's a dialler code to re-calibrate the sensor, or even an app that can do it?

hey

1) guys running dlev rom 3.1 does samsung dive work on your phones? doesn't work on mine. never worked ever since the first rooted custom kernel so maybe something to do with my phone being a 9100T. if i restore to original stock backup it works again.

2) any fast way to restore all your settings if you want to try a different rom? if no i won't try fluxmod as mine is just fine running dlev 3.1 + siyah 2.6.4

thankd

I came off dlev to checkrom and my battery life doubled. Could be that I didn't reinstall all my apps though, to be fair.

How do you find Checkrom compared to DLEV, I am thinking of doing the same or trying Fluxmod

I like checkrom a lot. I don't tend to like the "big" roms that are really popular, but I got sick of changing to a ROM and then finding the developer stopped supporting it.

I don't see much happening in the ROM space till ICS comes and then things are going to go wild for a while. I'll stay on this now until something compelling and stable comes along.

I went from CheckRom to DarkyRomHD to Omega. I'm pretty happy with all three. Will be trying Fluxmod with the new release this weekend. Tried it a few weeks ago and had all sorts of installation problems. I'm now looking at roms that are light, stable and have full jkay support. Like you mention, it's always nice to have good dev support as well, there are a lot of orphan roms around.

I like cdtdroid's guide on rom development, might have to have a play around soon.

Jkay seems to have gone bush for a while and seems to have a Note now so will be interesting to see what transpires. Amazing work he does for next to nothing, I'm sure most would be happy to pay a small amount on matrket to be able to use his stuff.

I made the mistake of going to Darky HD KK5 before I realised jakay hasn't done XXKK5 only XW but really don't want to go back.

I limit my choice to jkay compatible stuff now.  I'd pay for an app that accomplishes the tweaks he's made. Happily.

Hi there, Just got my S2 this Christmas. Couldn't wait and got it Rooted by boxing day.
Already tried about 6 Roms. I liked Miui but could not get the video to work. And didn't like that video calling didn't work.
Any way current setup is ROM: FluxMOD v2.0.0 Kernel: Siyah v2.6.6i Modem: XXKG5 Theme: JKay Deluxe v13.4.1. Liking it so far. And bat is looking good (but that might be just the New Bat has settled).

It has taken me several days to read the last 177 pages. I have learnt a lot from you guys! Thanks!

@K1000716 are you still on Omega? I was using it last. The reason I stopped was I found that the AP News widget was always loading in the background (used Wheres My Droid Power app), and I wasn't using it. Always had to force stop it. Can you check and see if the same is for you?
