I've found the quality of each successive modem better than the last for VF to be honest - the ICS modems seem to be really good (running DXLP7 currently). In phone settings is that the baseband? XXKL1 is what I have presently. Is your modem ICS specific? Yes, baseband is the modem. . . .And all modems are interchangeable with all firmwares; either flash it via Odin, or get a CWM-recovery .zip file, and flash from recovery. Life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand like stone - kindness in another's trouble, courage in your own. SGSIII ROM: WanamLite v1.3 Kernel: Ninphetamine v1.1.0 Modem: DXLEA SGSII (Now belongs to SWMBO) ROM: WanamLite v12 Kernel: Siyah v3.3.2 Modem: BVLPB SGS (Cat's chew toy) If you need a download-mode jig ASAP, you're welcome to borrow mine! Works with SGS I/II/III. I also have a SIM cutter available (Dunedin) - happy to post either to you at your cost.

K1000716: Nope. That's an i9100 modem, not i9100T, damned if I know the difference but there is one. The i9100 and the i9100T are exactly the same, the only difference being that the radio firmware of the T model disables unused bands, which is why they also have a lower SAR rating. Firefox users: It's called Fx, not FF! [Read FAQ#8] I recommend: Web Browser: Opera. Ad Filter: Ad Muncher. Portable OS: Puppy Linux. IM: Digsby. AntiVirus: Microsoft Security Essentials. But this also brings to light an important issue - if you're roaming - particularly, if you're going abroad - you might want to flash the normal modem so as to enable all bands. However, I always see a huge improvement in the signal when I use the telecom modem firmware as opposed to the international ones; I'm not sure why; perhaps the telecom modem has some other tweaks as well... I think this has been mentioned here before but since upgrading to ICS I send double SMS messages when using Handcent. It only shows as a single message from my end but to the recipient they get the message twice. When I use the stock SMS program (ugh, ugly) they only receive the message once. Anyone else got this issue?
