New Galaxy SII user thanks to the free 22" LED tv deal and a new job (hence some spare cash).
Long time android fan, had a HTC Magic since it came out, until last week and was constantly switching roms around etc.

So i have a I9100T since that is what version they were doing the deal on, running it on Vodafone and shortly switching to 2degrees.
Already stuck the stock LP7 rom on there to try out ICS samsung style, what modem should i be using for the 9100T on 2degrees/vodafone? It certainly seems to have worse reception at home compared to the telecom gingerbread firmware (marginal reception area).

Hey guys,

Download XXLPQ last night and flashed it via Odin. Went back to stock 2.3.3 today after noticing issues with WIFI dropping randomly and poor reception. What modem do you guys recommend using if I flash LPQ back to my phone?

Thanks

I have a Telecom S2 now on 2Degrees with ICS LP7 stock ROM. I'm having problems when I leave from home to work, when the phone switches from using Vodafones network back to 2Degrees.  Basically the internet just gets stuck and barely moves.  The only way to fix it seems to be to rescan for mobile networks and instruct it to connect to 2Degrees manually.

Anyone else having this problem?

The Stock and Black/Blue versions were released for Beta testing about three hours ago, but the ICS version is not yet complete (gutted...). It's pretty smooth and for me everything restored nicely from Titanium Backup. I made a full factory reset this time, including internal sd wipe - it was getting cluttered again. It also uses an XXLPR modem. I'll run with it for a few days I guess, but still have the other three in my box account if I need them.
It's pretty smooth and running well so far. The kitchen call recording mod works perfectly, scrolling is smooth, Will chuck a fresh battery in before I hit the sack and see how the drain is overnight with everything left on.

I'm pretty happy with this so far. It feels like a good release and should be well received.

Just reflashed XXLPQ. Serious overheating issue. Is this to do with the kernal? What kernal does everyone recommend?

Battery is also draining rapidly :S

Omega 6.0 siyah kernel 3.0b7
Push outlook exchange

Drain is 1% per hr idle ... But upto 20%+ per hour just flicking thru system configing and opera browsing ! Not video music or photo or camera!

So ... Does anyone know for sure whether force gpu rendering for 2d improves batt or make it worse or no diff?

Aaargh poo !

Just when i thought everything was kinda stable i proceeded to delete my cwm backup and do a fresh image ... But on deleting the cwm backup in cwm the kernel crashed and showed "kernel panic upload mode" .... On restarting the phone the backup was gone but i didnt recover the 1080mb of space!

Where could it have gone?

There is a directory lost.dir with 1800 ish mb ... Can i delete that?
