networkn: Anyone got another company who sells this exact same kit? I am very concerned about the security of this site.

You can buy them on TradeMe.

You could buy it from PBTech or H2Phone, but the price is almost double..   Not sure how adriatica manages to sell it so cheap..

Got an email from them ( a real person) said once this lot is gone that's it as far as they are concerned, sounds like they cant get any more.

I paid nearly twice that when I got mine, through the same store!

Edit:
I got a pretty quick response from my messages too. They're looking into the security issue as even they said it shouldn't be able to happen!

"even if the session was still current, accessing it from a different ip address should have sufficed.  But if there is a hole – there is a hole and we need to fix it."

From Adriatica:
we’ve now only got 12 batteries left in stock.  Samsung are notorious for overdue and lengthy supply times, so my suggestion is, if you know anyone wanting these to order them ASAP as there could be a lengthy delay before they are available again.

d3Xt3r: I have the official extended battery as well and I must say, it seems so natural that I feel Samsung should have made this battery the default. Here's why:

1. Way better battery life. This is a no-brainer. (Plus with decent a ICS ROM + Siyah kernel with Lulzactive governer == I never have to worry about battery again. :))

2. Camera is protected. Thanks to the new back cover, the camera doesn't directly touch the surface when you put the phone backside-down.

3. Phone looks better. The bottom-back portion doesn't jut out anymore.

4. Phone feels better as well. With the slightly increased weight, it doesn't feel cheap like a fake demo-phone. :)

---

Also, a note of caution to everyone else: do not buy cheap third-party batteries. If the price is too good to be true, then it generally is. These batteries are falsely advertised as high capacity, they have a short life and worse, they've been known to explode. If you must use a third-party battery however, the only brand(s) I would trust is Mugen/Momax.

Thanks for this, and Lee for your information.  Based on this I've ordered one too.  About to head overseas for a month and the battery life is a concern when I don't know when we'll be charging next.  I have a ZAGG whatsamajig (name escapes me) also.

The thing that worried me with this is that the phone wouldn't fit in the Sena leather case I use.  But since it sounds like the cover would not protrude past the "bottom-back portion" I'm happy with this.  Should still fit (like a glove).

Thanks guys for all the advice.
Went ahead and ordered from adriatica the 2000mAh.
May look at the charger that Lee suggested at a latter date.
It will be great to at least a whole day out of a charge ;-)

It makes the back of the phone flush, how it should have been really. It's a nice fitting cover, and can be bent past 90° without deforming, very much like the original. Samsung should really have released the phone with this battery.

Luckily they don't save credit card details eh? They're working on the security issue we've raised, but I couldn't duplicate it either. No idea what happened there but they were pretty concerned about it.
Just a note, I've removed the two extra addresses on my account. ;)

It sounds like we all will the way phones are going. It seems that most high end devices are now non-removable, as well as having no sd cards...

It became a must have item here - we have two S2's in the house. I use a pair of 2000Mah batteries and my wife uses the two stock ones. That's when a charger like this really shines. The only way I could ever get a full day is with minimum screen brightness, no syncing and heavy undervolting/underclocking... That takes away all the fun of owning such a great phone.
They'd better not screw up the S3! Needs to have an sd card and removable battery...

I tried it about a week ago and found it pretty good really. At the time they hadn't solved the video recording issue, or tv-out. Video recording was a deal breaker for me unfortunately, so I only used it for a day and a half. Apparently the video has now been fixed, but the devs were not too happy about the bodged fix. Still, working is working. ;)

I followed the installation instructions and it all went very smoothly. It seemed fast and stable and most people that try it seem to be pretty happy with it. If not for the tv-out I'd be giving it decent try out.

lchiu7: Just to follow up on my post about the Chinese language.

I decided to take the plunge and flash ICS on this phone.

I initially though that the O2 ROM would be good since it would at least come up on English so I could choose the other language. With some trepidation flashed the ROM, waited for the success message and the phone powered up, upgrade apps etc. and then had ICS. The startup animation has some O2 logo and the background wallpaper appeared to be some London landscape (not surprising I guess).

Success I thought and I went to select language only to find the same set that Telecom has - a whole bunch of language but no Asian language apart from Korean (not surprising given the phone is Korean).

That was annoying so I decided to flash the HK ROM. Again the flash went fine but this time on reboot there was no carrier logo or customisation and there was no upgrading apps message. Went into the language option and this time there were 2 Chinese language options (thank goodness), for simplified and complex form (mainland China and HK), English (UK, US) and Korean.

The phone seems to work fine after that with my putting it a 2D SIM and making and receiving a call successfully.

Thanks to all who helped on the forum.

I take it, the owner will be happy with their new updated S2 :-) Glad you had a successful outcome.
