networkn: I'd like to remove the crt effect for anything except full power off. It's quite distracting. What're you doing that makes it a distraction? It's only a 1/2 second animation. You can disable it by going into Settings -> Display -> Animation, then select "No Animations". "You are" = "You're" - Not "Your". "They are" = "They're" - Not "Their" or "There". You probably mean "lose" not "loose". There's no such word as "Alot". On the internet, wasting time, since '89.

Running Lite'ning 4.0 now, damn it is quick. Noticeably faster than the older roms.

After using opera for a week I have to say I enjoy stock or dolphin HD much more than opera. Sad thing is everything was working perfectly fine, but suddenly one day dolphin HD starts to crash on me everytime I go on trademe. Only browser working for me is Opera and I really really wish there was an alternative. Because it's the same one that occurs when you switch off the devices in other ROM's so I keep thinking it's turning off. It sits on my desk in a cradle and when it switches off for power management I notice it from the corner of my eye. Thanks for the tip on removing it.

K1000716: Some have apps removed/added and different themes but to be honest they're all largely the same. Try running a popular one first to get used to it. If you pick cognition then there are a few other users here who could help if you have problems. nofam: Yeah, that did cross my mind - most custom firmwares have heavily modified hosts files to resolve popular ad sites to the loopback IP (127.0.0.1) - it may be that Trademe is using one of these blocked aggregating sites? That sounds possible. My current rom has an ad-free host as well. defnz: Of course, I forgot about the hosts file facepalm So.. did you guys get this fixed pls? I tried google but wasn't much of help.

I haven't no - all you need to do is find out where Android stores it's hosts file, copy it off to your PC, and find the entries that relate to the ad sites Trade Me uses - hash them out (safer than deleting incase you get it wrong), and then copy the new hosts file back to your phone (keep a pristine backup too). Reboot, and try trademe again. Life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand like stone - kindness in another's trouble, courage in your own. Went into system/etc/hosts but then realised I don't know the ad sites trademe uses so did some google but nope. I guess I'll just have to live with it. Anyone tried having similar problem in Litening, Villain or other ROMs? I'm on cognition 1.15.

As per questions above, I have installed LR 4.1 Thankfully nimpo's kernel is now included with v4+. I'd have flashed that kernel on anyway post LR flash (if he still had CF). So far so good. No issues.

Anyone tried/currently using Hardcore's K1-T8 kernel? I'm plannning on flashing it tonight; it doesn't have CWM yet, but I can flash Ninphetamine back via Odin if it's not doing the job.
