Beccara: Well I'm going to take the plunge and get a 16gb version without the dock for the time being. Where's the best place in NZ to get one from? There's alot of places like

http://www.gimmedigi.com/catalog/asus-transformer-tf101a1-101inch-tablet-computer-16gb-tablet-with-k...

and

http://www.elive.co.nz/asus-eee-pad-transformer-tf101-zarc0001.php

That have them but none of the shop's i've used before have them

Elive are good, if you don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks Firstin has them on special for $599 today
Don't know if i'd trust the gimmiedigi.com, never heard of them and their website isn't rendering properly for me!

I've got mine coming from the US, paid for extra shipping so $592 for 3-5 day shipping apparently :)

If you wanted to do 8-16 days the cost would be a bit less, about $560NZD

Wow $599 was a great price and probably unnecessary but good for those that got them... all sold
Any idea what company that was?

Haha whoops sorry, that was through Amazon :)

http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF101-A1-10-1-Inch-Tablet-Computer/dp/B004U78J1G/ref=pd_ts_zgc_e_3063224011_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&pf_rd_p=1310294142&pf_rd_s=right-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=507846&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1V6A3XJVEZMJFX1XDF8P

if actually works out cheaper if you use USD as the credit card fees in NZ are 2.5%, where as Amazon charges slightly more for converting it to NZD for you

Sorry think our wires got crossed:
My post was meant to say:

www.Firstin.co.nz  has them for $599 + $6 but then it'll take 3 weeks minimum to arrive

compared to the www.amazon.com link for $550 for 8-16 days shipping or 590(when ordered yesterday) with 2-4 day international priority shipping :)

I received a reply from Paul at Playtech:
"Confirmed our stock is the B6 version

More stock is coming by end of the week

USA keyboard version for sure no Chinese."

So I guess it's time to get your name on a list, or something.

I'd sent an inquiry to Acquire over the weekend about their TF101 keyboard/dock that was not in stock.

Today Candice has been emailing me about it.  She said only one was in stock with the supplier, it was the US version and it was the B6 series.

She told me to place my order and let her know when it was complete and she'd do her bit.

Anyway, I went to place my order tonight and they're showing as having 10 in stock.  All up with shipping it was $243.12.

Excellent work :) might have to order my keyboard through them this week too!

Also heard there is a B7 keyboard out, but it won't matter since the B6 and B7 both support firmware upgrades

PB Tech now has a bunch of keyboards in stock at $228.85 incl GST at Penrose. Ironically I ordered mine from Aquire last night at the higher price!

Cheers, Matt.

Thanks for the heads up. I assume these are B6 versions?

Don't know which version they are. I saw them on the website. I assume they are all B6 now as they have been out of stock for so long.

Just unboxing mine now

Nice colour and style

Does anyone elses keyboard have little pits in the metal surrounding the keys?

They are random little round indentations and lines in an otherwise smooth metal.

It's not a pattern
