ronw: Firstin were still selling at $599 earlier in week

I believe Firstin are now part of grabone, so that would make sense

I'm about to give CircleLauncher lite a go, then if I don't like that ADW Launcher EX. ADW is widely recommended, but Circle is free.

With those you just download themes.

Really pleased with my TF, got it for $525NZ all up from Ebay (purchased at the peak exchange rate, brilliant).

Went to Melbourne for 4 days, didn't charge it once (had the keyboard dock with me). Was brilliant.

Love the fact that the latest update lets you choose to have a proper mouse pointer again!

Thanks Timmmay, will have a look at CircleLauncher lite myself then.

Nice work there NZtechfreak, that's exceptional. Yes, I love the fact that having the keyboard attached means you can have it on all day and not even start draining the battery on the actual tablet itself. And the mouse pointer update is superb. Dumb to have moved away from that in the first place really. They obviously learnt though and instead of adopting a defensive position they simply provided an option. Good sign.

Maybe I am dense but how do you change the cursor back to a pointer

I'm not too sure about this one.

Bought it on Tuesday, but so far every single time I try to play a video with the youtube app it plays the wrong video. Hitting the HD button and rebuffering brings up the correct video. Not blaming ASUS for this since my phone (Ideos running gingerman 7) has started doing it too.

A lot of the time when I'm typing it doesn't pick up keystrokes. Also sometimes switches the order of keys I've typed. This is after I've already seen them on the screen so it's not my fat fingers.

Yesterday morning it gave me a hard freeze. Yesterday night and this afternoon it's randomly rebooted on me.

Thinking of taking it back but god damn i'm sick of this, I swear I'm cursed (everything I buy is broken out of the box)

What happens if you use a browser neo? It sounds like your unit is faulty to me. Do you have the latest firmware update? Go into settings, system, updates (or about), something like that.

I got the Swype beta (google them, go via their website). It's a nice keyboard, way better than the built in one or thumb keyboard.

Definitely sounds like something is wrong there, mine has been rock solid. I would factory reset it (from within Settings), and also check whether you are on the latest firmware (Settings --> About Tablet and check for updates, it sounds like you may not be as earlier honeycomb versions had problems with the keyboard like you describe). If an update is available I would reset it first and then install the update and see how it is.

Pretty sure that's the latest. It asked me to update, and no more updates are showing.

Will try a restore tonight when I get a chance.

Youtube works fine in a browser. Just would like the app to work
