lokhor: I think we will definitely all try to get some video of how the HTC Sensation performs. I will have to try recording it with my SGS so not sure how stable my hands are.

scoobydoo: Well I've just been advised tonight that the importers that I'm getting my phone through has dispatched it tonight, so fingers crossed I'll get it tomorrow!

Who are you buying from?

Can anyone recommend Mobicity?

Both WiFi and XT, at same location.

I'm not particularly close to a Telecom cell tower so that's a fairly good indicator of XT's performance I think.

Not that I'm competitive at all, you understand. :-)

Edit: Combined tests into single post

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner.
HTC Sensation running Jelly Bean 4.1.1, alpha AOSP ROM, on Telecom XT. Rough around the edges but showing much potential considering it's pre-beta. My daily driver now.

That's the problem with ADSL, you won't get near the uploads you can achieve over HSPA+ :)

Looks like the Sensation has excellent reception and 3G speeds, no matter the provider.

Hong Kong, and it's unbranded so no carrier logos, but it's using the VF / 2degrees network.

It helps to get someone else to hold the cam-phone. But then they have to know how to frame a shot and keep the shot in the frame.

Harder than it sounds....to find a person who can do that.

Was $805 delivered, inclusive of GST, no customs charges. This was 2 weeks ago, $USD exchange rate will have shifted since then. Will be best to make your own enquiries as to a current price. And they buy to order, so you have to wait for it to be shipped out of HK. Mine has taken 2 weeks from order date.
