Done the backup ;)

Now looking at the ROM... but a bit too colourful for me. I run ADW and (on my LG) I'm a huge fan of CM7 so looking in that direction.

I can't believe there are sooo many roms already! This might take awhile.

Try InsertCoin then it is based on the same rom and you can probably remove all the Sense stuff using a script from another rom or using Titanium Backup.

Hi All,

Update on my Sensation. I have had it for 4 days and I am just about to install P3D 3.1 onto the phone. Overall I am very impressed with this phone and have been thrashing it whenever I can. My main irk is the low volume from the speaker, especially compared to my old LG P500 and the HTC Desire HD. Is anyone using a volume booster? I tried Volume plus but that didn't work.

You tried the app Volume+ 1.7.3 ? http://androidaudiohacks.com/home/volume-gingerbread

It works quite well for increasing my speaker volume, you just go into it and select Speaker Settings
click Speaker Modifications so it is enabled. scroll down to Volume level and select it then select +15 for max volume.

Thanks Nick,

That is the one I tried. I thought it worked but I disabled it, played a song, turned the volume up to max, then re-enabled it and the volume of the song I was playing decreased, then when I set the settings to 15 the volume was the same as when it was disabled.

I will try it again but I am not sure if it will work

Definitely no noticable difference here, even after a restart. Maybe it doesn't work for Metallica Frown

Insertcoin just made it to v2.1 - Including the official 2.3.4 base rom + radio upgrade.

Running very smooth as always - Recommend at least trying it out.

I've rooted and done everything else now just to choose a rom. How hard is it to restore your backup? And will it be exactly the same as before.

Privoxy: As easy as just flashing another ROM

Cheers Privoxy, I'm going to try P3D 3.1 this afternoon. I've been reading alot on XDA and the only thing i dont understand is the radios, will i have to do anything or can i just straight install the ROM after a clean wipe?

This phones is amazing, i've ordered a 1900mAH Evo3D battery. Will let you know how it goes when it arrives. I am completely happy with the stock battery and how long i get out of it. But who can ever complain about a extr 4-5hrs.

Quick battery saving tip from the XDA forums. Just read it so I thought I would share it here.

To make the battery last longer, turn off pocket mode in settings/sounds.
