Same same...

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner.
HTC Sensation running Jelly Bean 4.1.1, alpha AOSP ROM, on Telecom XT. Rough around the edges but showing much potential considering it's pre-beta. My daily driver now.

Just like my Galaxy S, I really want to get into these new ROMs. I eventually got to Gingerbread from Eclair on the Galaxy S, but the Sensation is on Gingerbread amd just can't seem to pluck up the courage to go about it.

I have only had the HTC Sensation 2 weeks and am pretty happy with it. I actually like Sense.

I have the instructions on S-OFF and rooting from XDA, but what about ROM info?

Is it easier than the Galaxy S to ROM?

Its all pretty easy, once you are S-OFF then its just a matter of selecting a ROM from your SD Card and flashing it really (few little things youl learn) but nothing major. I would say for a newish person to the whole thing HTC would generally be easy to do things on.

As for ROM's there a tones of them... Theres a few main ones like LeeDroid, insertcoin, Android Revolution and my Pryamid3D along with others, main differences now are between 2.3.5 and 2.3.4.

Just a quick note guys, ive tested a few radios today and the latest one doesnt make any difference to reception or anything. so if you want to update ive also made a stock zip that you can use to flash the standard NZ Telecom radio if you have any issues. Ill post it soon but if you need it PM me or whatever

The hardest part is the S-Off, and that just the trepidation. The instructions are great and there's nothing to fear. Just take your time and read everything at least twice, just to be sure. You can't go wrong with CtD's P3D Rom. I'd recommend you try that first.

No worries chief. Releasing 7.3.0 tonight. Back to 2.3.4 for now until 2.3.5 is stable enough. Not that it isn't already I just hate minor issues.

I've rebuilt the 2.3.4 base and its flying man...

None that I've noticed, it can help with battery and reception if you get the right one. Just make sure you have enough battery when you do it lol... Brick

I'm always fully charged before flashing anything (pretty sure I bricked an apache once...)

I probably wont bother unless someone says they get better fringe reception
