This is my Case. It's really good. I don't like using the phone on it's own as it keeps slipping out of my grip.

How much was your shipping?

0.99 pence. The grip is great and the two pieces snap together well and so far look as if they'll keep doing so. Trying new ROMs requires access to the battery a lot :)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260841873755

It's the best case I've found so far. I've purchased quite a few different ones, and that's my case of choice. These type for instance:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-New-Mesh-Hard-Case-Cover-HTC-Sensation-G14-/230640628333?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item35b340b26d

They have a good grip, but even though there's a hole cut for the USB connection, you can't actually plug in a cable without either cutting the case further, or removing the cover. The cover itself doesn't come up over the front of the Sensation, so if you have a habit of facing it lying down or drop it, there's a good chance that the front bevel will be scratched.

I've bought a few Window-screen mount-holders too, and most of the Sensation specific ones won't allow you to put in your phone, while it's still in its cover. So, if you want one of those, I'd suggest you look for the Generic ones.

Android Revolution HD 3.6.1 ROM recommends installing the following radio;

Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2

Is this radio compatible with the Telecom network?
Does anyone have the current radio so I can flash back if it doesn't work?

So finally got my Sensation on the weekend - yay! I've been playing with it for a couple of days now, downloaded a few apps, and am enjoying the Android+Sense experience. A lot. But...

I'm getting a contacts/birthday problem that I have seen others reporting with iPhones/iOS, although I can't find any GZ threads about it on Android. What happened is:

1. I picked up the new phone and the girl in the Telecom store dragged my contacts and calendar entries off my old Sony Ericsson W995 to the Sensation via Bluetooth. Note that:
    i) This was done with no SIM in the Sensation, and
ii) While she told me how many contacts and calendar entries had been copied, I didn't check for accuracy while in-store.

2. I went home and started playing with the new phone. One thing I did was let FriendStream synch FB friends with my contacts.

3. At this point I checked my contacts for the first time and noticed the following:
    i) Contacts copied from my old phone and synched from FB show two birthdays. The one with the FB icon is correct, the one without the icon shows as the day after the actual birthday, e.g. my wife, whose birthday is 14 August (yes, I'm sure!) shows Birthday 15 Aug and Birthday [f] 14 Aug.
ii) Contacts who were not in my phone before, so have only been added from FB, e.g. some colleagues from a previous job, show one birthday. I don't know whether it's correct, but I'd bet it is.
iii) Contacts who don't have FB, so only came over from the old phone, e.g. my Dad, show only one birthday but it's the incorrect (day after) one.
iv) If I select to edit the contact (or delete it and create a new one from scratch), when in edit mode the correct birthday shows, but when I save the changes, the wrong one is showing again.

I wondered whether it might be a "time zone" thing, but the only place I can see to set my time zone (Settings > Date & time > Select time zone) shows the correct zone.

Finally flashed the radio. Seems faster but only time will tell. Not as scary as it was made out to be. Seems anything with flashing to Android needs a MD5 hash check to be safe.

That and I've clocked the phone back to 1.2GHz... the phone was getting pretty hot at times, gotta say I don't notice the 0.3GHz difference.

Might just have to try the CTDroid's ROM at some stage.

Downloading it now, might give it a go over the P3D Rom. Unfortunately my Sensation has just developed a case of dust under screen :(

I have been playing with a Sensation for the past few days, courtesy of our Telecom agent.

This is my first experience with a larger screen device (my main phone is a N1) and at first I thought I would find it bulky but with ongoing use you get used to the size.

Also it's my first experience with the full SenseUI having only used a HTC Wildfire before which has a cut down version.

SenseUI is one of those things you either love or hate. It has nice bits like the predictive dialer, the magnifying glass editor a la IOS, and some new apps, but there is also a fair bit of bloatware on it. Plus of course, since it is customised Andriod, you have to wait for HTC go provide updates to the device rather than accepting the Google pushed updates.

Battery life isn't that flash on the one I have, dropping almost 50% overnight when all it was doing was sleeping. And the USB port is on the side which is annoying for me since it means when it's in my car cradle the sides of the cradle cover up the port so it's hard to keep it charging in the car cradle.

Netflix is great on the device with the larger screen so that is quite compelling for me.

But in the end I while I liked the device and it was certainly a big improvement over the N1, I think I will wait for the Nexus Prime.  That way I get the full size screen benefits in a native Google experience.

Hey CdTDroiD

Im on your S3N5EaY 1.7 ROM but it feels slower than your Pyramid3D 7.9.2
But I really like the Quick Launch widget from 1.7
Is there any way to get that widget on 7.9.2?
Or is it only available on sense 3.5 ROM's?

Thanks
