Good news for those wanting the official gingerbread update for their xperia x10 - it's due in August.

Features include:

Wifi hitspot
Flash support
Facebook intergration
Apps to SD

And much more.

Hit the link to watch a video of X10 running official gingerbread.

What version of gingerbread will it be tho?
I was going to buy the x10 after my first android phone but they were sooo far behind.
I ended up with the LG p500 and love it! Especially with a custom rom!

it's going to be 2.3.3, the X10 is way behind on 2.1 but judging by the custom roms i've put on the device it's amazing on 2.3

The screen is much better on the X10 than the P500, the 1ghz processor helps too

Yeah, it was 2.1 that put me off... might have to look for a second hand one. Still happy with the p500 with 2.3.4 CM7 tho. And I like a smaller phone. it lives in my pocket.

p500 is a nice phone no doubt about it - have you still got the nav app with the custom rom?
