Hi I have an SG1 running stock Telecom 2.3.3

I have downloaded the app from the market and when I go:- add to screen / widget I have 2 choices,

Reader new ticker and Reader unread count, selecting either brings up a screen that says Google Reader Accounts and which shows my account is sync on, but then there is nothing to do but escape out and I have no widget on my desktop . . . am I doing something wrong.  I am using Zeem launcher but it does the same with the stock launcher.
