So can you get the phone back again when Android 2.3.4 becomes available, flash it and see if you can attach a USB keyboard to it via the media dock.

Or you could hold out till a Sony Ericsson neo V (Only difference is OS version and 5MP camera) turns up and then just test that as it comes with Android 2.3.4

I read Samsung is soon to release an Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwhich) smart mobile.

Poor old Sony Ericsson, good phones but never in the forefront of technology. As yet they still haven't produced a dual core phone. Sony Ericsson XPERIA arc S at 1.4Ghz is the best so far.

Although I shouldn't gumble, my Sony Ericsson X10i I bought new for $460.00(NZD) a few months ago, is now running Android V2.3.3. Doh! And if it had a bit more ram, it could have been Android 2.3.4. Smile

Or if I had've waited until now I could have picked up a Sony Ericsson neo for $458.00 new in NZ or even a Sony Ericsson arc for $549.00

The phone's on the way back to 2 degrees but who knows they may release the Neo V but it is a bit of a downgrade beacuse it's got a great camera now but I can't see how downgrading to 5mp is going to make the device more attractive even with the latest OS.

Sony Ericsson were bad at releasing new versions of Android for their smart phones but they did get a big backlash mostly over the x10 which they were going to keep on 2.1 but as you say now is on 2.3.3 and I think they are now committed to upgrades of their phones.

The features of 2.3.4 won't make a huge difference to the average user but i'm interested to see how facbook inside xperia works - looks great on the demo videos i've seen.
