Broke the touch screen digitizer on a Motorola defy, so ordered a new screen from an American site (delivered here for $70 including adhesive and screwdriver).

Got it replaced ok, it was a bit fidley, but got it in ok. Then noticed that there was a small issue on touch screen, so downloaded a demo app which shows about an 7mm dead zone about a quarter down from the top.

Do you think I damaged it? Could it be I didn't plug in the digitizer properly? Maybe it was damaged when dropped?

I'm not overly keen to fiddle around inside incase I make it worse. Anyone else had any history with this?
