kl281071: does anyone know when we can get the prime in nz ?

It was about 2 months later than Amazon with the first Prime, but with it being in hot demand, I'd say sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year, longer for the 3G version

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

If you want one earlier there are plenty of safe and reliable places online to purchase from.

I can only find them on ebay. Everywhere else is out of stock or massively over inflated prices.

ASUS comment on their UK Facebook page today made it sound like UK stock will ship shortly after the ICS update goes out on the 12th - I think best bet is to order it from somewhere there (I'd recommend Clove but maybe check with them that they'll be getting enough stock from the initial shipment to fill your pre-order).

Transformer Prime TF700T.

-10.1” 1080P screen (1920×1200) Super IPS+ with Gorilla™ Glass
-MSRP – $599 32GB, $699 64GB
-Announced for Q2 2012 in North America
-1.3 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3
-Camera – Rear facing 8MP Auto-Focus with LED Flash, 2.0MP Front Facing (front facing is improvement over current Prime)
-Free 8GB of ASUS Web Storage
-Wi-Fi – 802.11 b/g/n
-micro-HDMI output
-microSD card reader
-263 x 180.8 x 8.3mm, 586g
-Works with current Prime docks

No word if it's been upped to 2GB of RAM either, but I have no idea whether the Tegra 3 can deal with that anyway.

Nice update, some 3-6 months away though... By that time we'll see some Samsung tabs that might have their quadcore exynos SoC which will provide stiff competition, possibly 1080p SAMOLED displays too...

I have a pre order with Clove but they are not getting stock until the 27th this month. Even then they say they don't know if it will be enough to cover the pre orders.

I read the Transformer Prime TF700T has been updated as noted at CES 2012.

It now comes with a 1920x1200 screen (original 1280x800) and a reworked back cover to better the performance of GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi.

So, guessing if you have one on order, you may want to rethink if 1920x1200 and better WiFi is your thing.

Won't be out for another 3+ months and have to think about how much of a performance hit the larger resolution will cause.

Anyone ordered from Clove in the UK before?
http://www.clove.co.uk/asus-eee-pad-transformer-prime-tf201-32gb-with-keyboard-champagne-gold
£415.83 + £24 delivery to NZ (and then the GST charge from customs).

I did have a pre-order with B&H in the US back in late November 2011, but cancelled it due to getting sick of waiting and no aswers from them after 6 weeks.
