NZtechfreak: First part of my review is away, a bit light weight at only a smidge over 5000 words:

http://www.androidnz.net/2012/06/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-real-user-review.html

Awesome review.  Thank you for sharing :)

OMG, you have actually seen a blue one and now like the white better, you make me want to go back and buy one like now :D

I'm a total android novice and iphone fan so this is new territory for me but the phone is lovely and I agree "build quality" seems excellent. My 3gs beside the S3 was 2 different worlds.

I think you'll find that's the general consensus here now! Go white!

Even my co-workers who were initially mocking me for having a white phone, saying it was too "feminine", are now white with envy :)

The only thing i was a little underwhelmed re the S3 (I don't have mine yet) was the gluey white colour of the white and the colours on the screen seemed a little muted to me compared to my s2, but I only played with it for a few minutes at JB's (the phone!!!) and so perhaps in reality it probably won't be too bad.

I also got hands on with the X the other day as a client has 10 of them he wants setup, and the thing I found odd was the interface was so different from the normal android experience in ways I can't really put into words. However I did find the text super sharp which was awesome.

I found the colours completely over saturated, and have turned them down completely

The Dynamic mode, and Standard mode they are set too, are too unrealistic, I've got mine set to Movie mode, and it's good

Apart from a slightly blue tinge, although both the One-X and GS3 were suffering from blue tinging today while taking my last review photos, so might have been more the lighting I was under

If anyone has theirs in a case, what sort of a case do you have?

I have a quicksand clip on case but no S3. Quicksand case is really high quality and worth the $15bucks of my money :)

My suggestion toward the cases is to buy a few and try it out from EBay. They are pretty cheap.

I just placed an order for this case in white(clear). Don't want to hide the fact that the phone is white (otherwise I might as well wait for the blue), just want something to protect it.

I notice that any pics i take with the stock camera app are quite a small file size (~1.5mb), running 8MP and Superfine settings

ICS S2 files were twice the size, and hte modded GB app 4x the size. The pics look fine but i cant help thinking we are not necessarily getting the most out of the camera?

It has been said many times before. It is all the same. It will work n all networks across New Zealand. Heck, it will work in the UK, US, EU, Middle East, India, Asia 3G networks.

It is a quad band just like the Galaxy S2 and Nokia N900.

Ok getting a little worried now

Anyone with a telecom one (9300T) can you check your cellstandby for battery

It is using more than the screen is.
yesterday phone was at 30% with only 2 hours screen on.
Cellstandby used 67%
