NZtechfreak: Oh yeah! Wrote about my experience with the E7 here:

http://www.androidnz.net/2012/06/galaxy-s-iii-usb-audio-is-it-really.html

Lets just say I'm happy and will post up some video the blogs YouTube channel shortly...

This vaults the S III to being the only phone for truly serious audio-lovers who want to use an Android device as their portable music player...

Is it just me or your page is down NZtechfreak?

updated: it is working now :)

IntegerIsNumber:
Salami: What is the variant of the S3 NZ uses?
U know how with the galaxy nexus there were something like Yazkuza or yakunza?

@_@ I'm sorry what?
Are you asking how an international version of S3 is different from international version (NZ Galaxy S3)?
Is 1 not 1? O.o or 1 is 1 lol. I'm confused.
NZ version is the same as an international version and the same as UK, EU, Dubai and Some Asian countries version.
So no differences.

There are app differences though. Australian phones get Navigon, for example. I never did understand why Aussie gets it when NZ doesn't since Navigon has both Australian and NZ maps. Phones are the same but different ROMs come with different apps.

Have you rooted your device? If you did that then I will create a flash able zip file for you to try.

Nope. I don't intend to just yet either - going to wait and see what comes out over the next few weeks.

Just download it from Play Store or flash the firmware with Aussie one. Apps different isnt important.

jeffnz: adriatiuca has some cases listed already and I take it in stock, also some S3 items arriving. I had ordered an extented S2 bty but cancelled and have ordered the S3 one which is due this month.

Adriatica have them advertised. I ordered some and got an email saying they weren't in stock. I said 'sweet, i'll try somewhere else'.
Best bet is Clove. Where i'll go.
Or Mobilefun or something.

NZViking - If you're on.

Does your brother have any info on when NL are expecting blue 16GB pre-orders from last weekend to be available as it sounds like a lot of european (and now VF Oz) shops have stock?

Cheers if he can help.

I heard if you picked Vodafone it will be within the next week or 2. XT 2-3 weeks. Which seems odd but you can only take their word for it

We're really this slow in NZ? Even Aussie got them blue phones in 16/32 before us. And we launched the S3 before they did as well. Samsung really F with us all because we have less people.

Ummm. . . .It's called Commerce.  In order to recoup as much of the money outlayed on R&D as quickly as possible, you sell at a premium price to the Early Adopter market segment.
