NZtechfreak: Speaking of arrivals, got my functioning S3 MHL adapter today. Love it!

Where did you source it ? How much was it?

Do you still like the white?

How is Part 2 of your review coming along?

kiwitrc: 25% off Samsung whiteware. This must include the White S3 as well.

Lol I doubt that. 25% off Whiteware might be valid if they have the white S3 in store. But they didn't have it so I guess it won't work on back-order whiteware. But you have a point :)

networkn: I think he meant waiting without asking each 2 days when your device is coming :)

Ha aha you were the same a few days ago :-P I'm jealous of you happy people right now.

I'm installing Navigon free from Google Play :) downloading maps now on my Galaxy S2.
For those who has Galaxy S3 you can do the same too. Normally it costing $78 for the application. But it is free because itis powered by Samsung.

????

Google Play tells me the app you're referring to (Navigon for Samsung devices) is incompatible with my S3.

installed MarketEnabler and change the carrier to Vodafone AU. Using the code: 50503 then applying the setting. Now reopen Google Play and voila you can now download :)

I don't see navigon for NZ and does the enabler work for XT?

Yes it would work on Telecom XT. Keyword is "Navigon Samsung" in Play store. Must get Market Enabler from XDA first. You may need to root your phone though.

Looking at upgrading my 4S for the S3 (for the increased screen size) Can anyone tell me if they have setup GPS navigation for this and what App they are using?
I currently use Tomtom app for the 4s so was hoping there was something similar. I have conflicting reports that the Navigon is available and free.

Sygic for Android is a product that is very similar to TomTom, and I am sure if you like TomTom you will be happy enough with Sygic, it comes at a cost but as far as Android navigation apps go it is probably one of the better ones

Depending on how you like to spend your money another option is to use the Google Maps navigation, it is free, integrated into the android platform and works well. The trade off is it uses data instead of having the maps stored locally

I have Sygic but never tend to use it in favour of the built in google maps nav

Yes it sure does, Vodafone Westfield Riccarton in CHC had 11 units in their glass cabinet early today, the guy even opened one to show me, so NL ones are not too far away they said 5 to 7 working days today Monday 11th is day 5.

Don't think that one will work, Samsung changed the MHL connection in the S3, since their adapter is only just out now doubt anyone on Trademe is selling a third party one yet.
