n95: Yes from JB Hi Fi. The sales person was holding a white one when I went in store. I too thought is was a good deal as I have paid more for genuine samsung batteries (for my S1) in the past.

Retail I think was $87.95, I got a small discount. It is all genuine Samsung as far as I can tell (see pic below). The flip cover is nice as the replacement back cover part is identical to the original blue cover.
Just to be clear on the charging stand, although it has a slot to stand your phone in will not charge your phone (not unless you take the battery out of your phone). The charger is really just for the spare battery. Why they didn't include the micro usb plug in the bottom of the stand part I don't know, would have been much better.

I might get the accessory pack as well for my wife's white S3.

It doesn't bother me about the charging stand as that's all I need, when I need to sync it, I just plug in the data cable. I just need a charger to charge my spare battery.

I'll see if our local JB would have the pack in stock.

I called the two JB stores closest to where I live, one said only their Queens Street store would have it and the other the sales person had no idea what I am talking about.

So will go check out the Queens Street store at lunch time tomorrow.

Gone are the days of people having product knowledge on items they sell.
Favorite past time of mine is going into a store and selling customers products even though i don't work there.

Good to see I'm not the only person who makes sales in electronics stores.

Sold an ASUS Transformer whilst in JB HiFi a while back to a person who was enquiring about Android tablets, sales person clearly had no clue what they were talking about and when he stepped away for a minute I set them straight.

Lol - and who forced you to buy it if it's "Far too big"?

Life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand like stone - kindness in another's trouble, courage in your own.

SGSIII

SGSII (Now belongs to SWMBO)

If you need a download-mode jig ASAP, you're welcome to borrow mine!  Works with SGS I/II/III.  I also have a SIM cutter available (Dunedin) - happy to post either to you at your cost.

Good, you are no loss. You are incapable of using a smartphone. Ask your Mum for a simpler one with big buttons.

when your lg p500h out proforms the S3 in signal wise with the same sim you have to ask the question.

S3 = 1 bar signal
lg p500h = 4 bars ( full signal )

the fact that the s3 keeps dropping out, certainly no 3g where i am with vodafone or 2degrees.

Just a couple of (hopefully constructive) questions, did you see the comments earlier in this thread regarding the antenna? Its right at the bottom of the phone so may be affected by how you use it. Were the signal strength comparisons done with the phones located in the same place? When talking on it did you notice dropouts? Have you compared the signal strength under settings, about phone, status? You said it is from WHS so I assume it is a 2Degrees version of the phone rather than a Telecom one?

Finally it might be worth trying another one in case yours is in fact faulty?

I'd say just take it back, and continue using your P500.

If you really don't like the size, and are in a crappy coverage area, then most recent smart phones aren't for you. The One-X will be just as bad size/signal wise. The older Galaxy S2 will be too big.

Only choices for the size you want would be the Xperia Ray, Galaxy Ace, or the iPhone. All of which will probably have similar coverage issues
