vinnieg: Anyone applied their Xtreme Guards yet?

Put mine on a few minutes ago, still drying, but first impressions are it's a bit crap.

Might have to pull it back off, looks alright on the back, however I can see it scratching up pretty fast. The front is a bit grainy, and feels grippy. Think I prefer smooth!

I'm thinking I'll just apply the real protectors and source some decent screen ones
Anyone with screen protectors that are smooth and not noticable? I don't mind going through a few protector's a year, etc

I still have 9 left :) I'm in Hamilton.

I got 11 but gave 2 out to friend and colleague. These are smooth one, none sticky type. It uses static I think.

**On the warning side: My colleague's S3 got a noticeable scratch on his screen already from 3 weeks of usage without screen protector. The Gorilla 2 is not scratch proof.

You still need to be careful with it, even with Gorilla glass + protector
It's not indestructible material

I think if I don't like it within the next say 4 days I'll pull the screen one off and leave the rears :)

Thanks for the offer for the other ones, but at this stage I think I'll go bare. I left my SII bare since I had it last April, and the screen is still all good

In the end it was only $15 wasted, for 4x full body protectors = cost of a KFC ultimate burger meal, so no big loss

I can confirm the official Samsung Desktop Battery Charger Stand is fine with the ROCK Sandpaper cover.

My Zenis desktop charger also arrived. No problem with that with the ROCK Sandpaper cover either.  The Zenis charger was ordered from eBay.  Seller from Korea.

Very pleased with both Clove and the eBay seller.  Ordered and delivered in 6 days.

And I've received notification that my custom leather pouch has shipped tonight. Really looking forward to receiving that.  Then out goes the ROCK case.

No, just a sympathetic SWMBO who doesn't like to see a grown man sulk. . . . Embarassed

i have found that turning the 'power saving' feature completely off is making my battery last longer, its no longer reporting solid blocks of being awake for hours and hours at a time.... weird

Got my xtreme guards today. Took me a while (and 2 protectors) but managed to get it on. The front is quite hazy, but I expect it to dry up by tomorrow. The back seems fine.

nofam: Wheee - courier has just dropped my bluey off - first time I've seen the blue in the flesh - it really is sharp!

So much to do!! Cool

Ninpo/Netarchy are back in the game too, and have released Ninphetamine - great to see them back on the kernel dev scene!

Congrats!  You had to wait a day more than you thought. That must have been difficult :)

Yeah, annoying. . . . SWMBO assures me I'm not allowed to play with it until my actual birthday later in the week!

Regarding that screen test that showed up the black blobs, which options show it up the best?

In the dialer:  *#0*#  Then select the Vibration test.  Go to the dog box (I mean dark room), with the phone set to minimum brightness, and auto brightness unticked.  Enjoy Wink

I really couldn't see much to complain about - a couple of small specs of black and maybe a line about the diameter of a piece of hair?

It was too dark to see much more. . . . Wink

The screen is clearer today, but the feel of this, and most screen protectors is horrid!

I've just pulled mine off, and just left the back guard.  Is yours still on?  I prefer the silky smooth glass feel.

Is anyone else having luck with Navigon today?  I was just browsing the market, came across Navigon Samsung Australia(on the PC side).  Had tried it yesterday and got Not Compatible with all devices/or country.  Today it installed.

Downloaded both NZ/AU maps to my SD, seems to work fine!  Gives me the option for a 4.2 update, but when i hit it says product doesn't exist in store.

Not rooted, no market enabler, completely stock 2Degrees GSIII
