jeffnz: 382 pound for HTC and 416 for GS3 without GST from Clove.

That is a really great deal for the GS3

OUch, for that price probably cheaper to go Einfotech for the One X, I'd say go Black/Brown over white though, mine is always dirty

I was adamant that I wasn't going to join the bandwagon and upgrade my S2 as quite frankly there is no need to! but damn it the more I hear of the S3 I just want one :P

I know what you mean I lost mine in Europe on a dam train and so far I am not impressed with the windows 7.5 os so I was going to replace it but I want the NFC that the GS3 supplies now.

Hopefully I can afford it at the end of the month.

and I am so tempted to get the One X as this wait is killing me. Then again don't want to be in a situation where I want to change the one X too after the S3 launch.

Yeah but the button placement is a disgrace.

What's wrong with the One X button placement? Only thing that could make it better is a shorter volume rocker, or to place it further up the phone

I see people saying that, but I don't really see them as being that close myself.

S3 over the One X:
SoC
GPU
Battery life
Removable battery
Storage (SD slot up to 64GB with exFAT support)
Better sound quality
Better camera (although not that much in it)
Better GPS (GLONASS Vs no GLONASS)
USB OTG support
Unlocked bootloaders

Heck, GSMArena even rate the screen more highly and I would have thought the One X would at least take that prize (owning a One X and loving it's screen).

One X over the S3:
Better materials
Better design/more appealing looks
Sense UI (although that is a subjective thing and since launchers are freely changeable not a great selling point for me)

Pretty significant hardware advantage for the S3 (the One XL compares more favourably with it's S4 Krait dual core SoC, but that comparison isn't really going to matter to the masses who won't parallel import the XL).

:-) Tough decision, grab it from Clove or wait for local copy? Will Clove phones be covered under warranty and fixable here in NZ?

Will need to be returned to Clove unfortunately (they are excellent with warranty issues though, had to return my first Galaxy S to them for out of the box problems).

Connecting a few dots here and it looks near-certain that the S3 will support WiiMotes on stock firmwares over bluetooth, and PS3 controllers via USB OTG, and also have support for midi devices via USB OTG. Pretty cool stuff. Details here: http://www.androidnz.net/2012/05/samsung-galaxy-s3-more-secrets-revealed.html

I get a bad request on the S3. You really are a freak for finding out this type of information :)

Good for you!

As a Phone how would you rate the ONE X on a scale of 1-10?
