networkn:
NZtechfreak: Connecting a few dots here and it looks near-certain that the S3 will support WiiMotes on stock firmwares over bluetooth, and PS3 controllers via USB OTG, and also have support for midi devices via USB OTG. Pretty cool stuff. Details.

I get a bad request on the S3. You really are a freak for finding out this type of information :)

Good for you!

As a Phone how would you rate the ONE X on a scale of 1-10?

Mostly I get the information by actively participating in XDA and having a great RSS reader in gReaderPro. I cover a lot of ground, and it doesn't hurt that I have a million peripherals to try out with stuff!

Thanks for the pick up on the link, fixed now.

When you say rate the One X as a Phone (with a deliberate capital I think?) I think you mean for telephony? From that point of view it's fine, SMS will be SMS virtually no matter which phone you're coming from and voice quality is excellent. Or do you mean overall?

Hi,

I meant overall.

Hmmm, overall... That's a tough one, boiling it down to a rather arbitrary score - depends on lot on what people need. For example I need an SD slot, so my tilt is automatically rather low despite everything else that is good about it. Overall it is still a very good phone, like 8/10 (unless you need SD slot, or you're fussy about audio quality etc, in which case it drops points - unfortunately everything it either lacks completely or does badly is something I happen to care about quite a bit).

Wonder when our telco's will announce pricing?

Otherwise I'll be doing the same.

I don't know if anyone else has said this, but I was in Vodafone yesterday, talking to a guy who works there and apparently we are only going to be getting the 16GB model here. (all telcos according to him) Does anyone know anything contrary to that?

It probably won't stop me from getting one, but I would have preferred a 32GB model.

klyster: why? the difference in price is massive, much more than a 16GB sd card would cost

Because I can? Maybe they should just make a 2GB model? I don't really know, because I want more than I have on my S2, and have to keep moving stuff back and forth (pain in the rectum, but at least there's the option right?)

Seriously, just saves me a lot of fluffing around copying files, I'd love a 64GB model but can't imagine what they'll sell for.

As to why, something to do with not mixing storage capacities in containers or something lame like that, I was too busy crying to take it all in, lol.

Not sure how it would save you time. When you get your phone, add a 32gb card, copy to there, set it as default. The end.

What if I use more than one SD card? What if I share my SD card with my tablet?

I don't think you are making a lot of sense, how does that differ between a 16GB Internal Memory or 32GB.
