We have a Netgear WNDR3700 Dual Mode wireless router. I connect to it in 2.4Ghz mode usually. The 5Ghz mode also works without any problems. Wireless at work is handled by Cisco access points which seem to hold the connection well. The network is designed as a 'guest' network for use by smart devices and vendors with wireless laptops etc. and provides a connection directly to the internet. The downside of this is that there is web page where you have to log into the network to get access (similar to McDs). Sometimes this connection expires and you find that you have to log in again to get the connection. No problem really, a heap better than it was a year ago! Overall I can't complain about any wireless issues. Has a slightly better range than my Desire did and connects at 5Ghz.

Lambchop: nofam: Can someone on the new LFB firmware confirm for me whether inserting a headphone plug still brings up the menu in the notification screen with the music player, video player short cuts? The new WanamLite ROM doesn't seem to do this any longer. . . . actually no it doesn't - and the wee headphone icon doesn't show up in the notification bar either I'm on LFB foxhound and it works, well if I turn it on under accessory in settings but its annoying. Also icon is in notification bar Galaxy S3 Wanam 4.2.2

Well that raises another interesting question. My wi-fi frequency band is set to 'auto' - any ideas as to whether or not that might be causing some problems. Might try 2.4 and see how it goes.

Anyone on a stock GT-I9300T flashed over their modem, e.g. XXLFB I ask this because it doesn't matter what S3 you buy, it will work on XT, meaning we can flash the same ROM+Modem as the GT-I9300 and it should all work, just seeing if anyone has done this in practice If you have a 9300T and using CM9, you are required to use XXLFB modem now, anyone? I'll either go down this path, or foxhound

I'm getting random re-boots now, about one a day, anyone else having a similar problem ? If I do a factory reset is that likely to fix the problem ? Ta.

SGSIII ROM: WanamLite v1.3 Kernel: Ninphetamine v1.1.0 Modem: DXLEA SGSII (Now belongs to SWMBO) ROM: WanamLite v12 Kernel: Siyah v3.3.2 Modem: BVLPB SGS (Cat's chew toy) If you need a download-mode jig ASAP, you're welcome to borrow mine! Works with SGS I/II/III. I also have a SIM cutter available (Dunedin) - happy to post either to you at your cost.

Otterbox Case "Commuter" Is anyone using one of these cases? Any comments...too bulky etc?? Any links for where the best place is to purchase...maybe ebay (never used ebay so not sure how to search for this) Currently using the "Flip case" that is the Samsung one...very nice and slim line but obviously whilst providing great protection for the screen doesn't offer any other protection to the phone if dropped etc Thanks

Also icon is in notification bar ahh very true ..they have made the default behavior to not show this ..but it's there under settings now. nice. shame you can't edit which apps populate this list. google music would be a pref

oh crap here we go.. be gentle!!! Uggg. I was in a hurry this morning and somewhat impulse bought a S3 (impulse buys are never a good idea!). I wanted a vodafone model and of course they didn't have any, but they had one XT, and arn't expecting stock of vodafone models for another 7-10days.. You can see where this is going... Had a quick look at the box and the bands on the back (that were partly obscured by the noel leeming sticker) and thought it all looked ok. Damn how wrong was i. Got it back to work, set it up and all was good! Well until i got it home that is and the internet didn't work. Typically we have 900mhz mobile broadband out here, work is on 2100mhz and the XT version dosn't support 900mhz umts. Im screwed arn't I?, flashing a GT-i9300 modem over this GT-i9300T isn't going to magically transform it into a 100% vodafone capable model? Will NL take it back if im going to swap it for the same vodafone version? it will be 24hours old, ive peeled the sticker off and thats about it.. Edit: This thread would insinuate that it is indeed possible to flash the non t modem over the t handset and get it working
