This may already be asked by someone and answered, but instead of trawling through all 219 pages:

Having just purchased a SIII, can someone assist with the following:

1.
When viewing emails in a pop3 account, the images do not show on the email. Have checked the Show Images setting and also the email format is html from the sender. Is there a step that we are missing?

2.
When receiving a pxt or image via email, is there are way of resizing it larger without saving it to the gallery first?

Thanks

mattyjnz:
networkn: Hi There!

Ok is there a tech support number for these wretched phones. I am AGAIN having WIFI Issues.

This morning I wasn't connected via wifi, I restarted my phone, still not. Toggled WiFi on and off, bingo, connected. This is seriously starting to piss me off.

Has been happening to me too.  I just reboot the router and it's good as gold again. It is annoying, I will say that and it shouldn't happen. Didn't have any problems like this with my S1.

I didn't get the problem initially until I had the phone a couple of weeks, probably occurs once / twice a week now I think and most likely when I have been away from wifi and then come back into coverage.

I am on Stock ROM too, Vodafone handset on XT.

This problem is still occurring (daily), but actually appears to be a problem with my modem router, not the phone itself.

Seems to have occurred when I bought a new wireless PC a few weeks back, so every time I take the phone out of wireless coverage at home and then back into coverage again everything turns to pot because the modem can't handle all the various (five) wireless devices in the house so effectively crashes and I have to give it a jump start.

I have a Dynalink RTA1025W, which I bought about three / four years ago.

Looks like it might be time for new modem. The D-Link seem to have had a bad rap on the DSE, so maybe a Belkin (N600 - $250) or Netgear (N600 - $330) might be the answer - could anyone make any suggestions about possible options ? Any assistance gratefully received.

Thanks.

Hmm, that's interesting.  I too have a Dynalink RTA1025W that I bought about 4 years ago and I sometimes have trouble with my S3 not getting an IP address from it.  Rebooting the router always fixes it but that's a hassle if other devices are already connected.

Hey new Sprint GSIII owner here and im stoked. But when i picked up my gsiii from radio shack (50 bucks off) they came with white earbuds, now am i wrong or is that a sign of isheeplE? either way i lost the pair that came with it, and looking for the same pair (they are pretty comfy and sound ok) but im not sure of the exact model number. I found these samsung earbuds and am unsure, of course they don't know either. Are they what im looking for? Anyone with a pair near by want to compare and contrast for me?

I got my SIII last week and those earbuds look exactly like mine.

Dude, I'm tempted to go Root my device tonight, even though I guess I could just not run the update. Haven't needed to root the S3 so far coz it just works, but not having search would just wind me up..... **** Apple

Maybe wait a bit if you dont want to root it. I read that Samsung have said the removal of local search was a mistake for the UK market at least and they are going to bring it back.

Q: How do rooted devices get updated when JB comes along from Samsung, saying that I'm still on a stock ROM at that stage?

Not quite sure if the OTA update will work on rooted devices. I have a 2Degrees phone, stock firmware, still waiting for the XXLF2 firmware to be released by them. The whole firmware update process appears to be a bit compliated. Samsung releases the firmware then the phone companies have to approve the firmware, once the firmware is approved it is then available via Kies or OTA. Please correct me if not quite right.

The last OTA from Samsung worked fine on all the S3's we have, all rooted. It broke root so had to re root.
