You have to remember a few in here spat the dummy when the blue one was released and were heading off to buy something else but changed their tune when they saw it in the flesh :)

Just as well that you are. Now I feel safe saying that I really don't like it. Maybe teenage girls might, but this non-teenage one sure don't. Sorry.

That red looks pretty good, I went with the white to begin with and it has grown on me. Having seen the images of the blue, black and now red s3's I'm impressed with how good it looks in all the colours they have chosen.

I'm amazed how many people remark on my phone when I use it, took a photo of a mate at a concert a few weeks ago and had him and two other people ask me what my phone was when I showed them the photo on the screen right after taking it. Can't say I've ever seen that kind of reaction from a device before.

Irony - I wanted the blue but didn't want to wait so got the white. I really, really didn't want a white phone. Then I decided I really liked it. When that phone had to be replaced because of problems the retailer only had the blue, which I had originally wanted. Rather than waiting for a white one to come in I accepted the blue. With a screen protector on and in a black Otterbox case it looks black. Now I am REALLY happy LOL.

mecow: VERY PRETTY! - would you mind sharing those widgets/themes

Clock is Beautiful Widgets, text battery reading is BattStatt, launcher is Nova and the dock icons come from an ADW launcher theme called WP7. The wallpaper comes from Wallbase, get that and search for Boba Fett in it (after that Image 2 Wallpaper can be helpful for getting it to display right).

I see Telecom now have a very attractive $19 plan, better than the 2degrees plans. I was wondering if an SGS3 purchased from Warehouse Stationary and running on 2degrees can also run on the XT network.
Regards,
John.

It can. My wife got me the phone from 2degrees but I'm with Telecom. Works perfectly.

networkn: Wade, so you would consider WANAM JB suitable as a daily driver, ready for showtime etc?

I was running Wanam no wipe for awhile but flashed SuperNexus Jellybean ROM which is the best ROM I've tested to date.

I think it's not bad :-) I was considering importing the garnet red one, but the i9300 and it's quad core won me over.

Suppose I need to install the leaked JB rom and update my Kernel and modem before being able to install that? There isn't a ROM that just does all that for me going from ICS?

better to wait until the official version is released as there are still issues hence reason why the release leaked version.

Supernexus just released JB LH4 but you would be best to follow what is happening on the thread before jumping in.

You could just try it out for a few days and restore nandroid if not happy. Lot of people going to JB without full wipe and whilst some seem to be getting away with it, it is recommended to do full wipe, install rom then wipe partition, dalvik cache (some roms do this automatically) then fix permissions. Seen a few doing advanced restore data only after that but haven't tried it but makes sense.

Seriously, no one else but me likes this one?

I actually really like it. Looks nicer then the blue. Definitely not feminine.
(New Zealand seems to have the mentality that men have to have masculine things and nothing remotely feminine and chainsaws and rugby and Holdens and Fords, oh my).

If this was on sale in NZ when i brought mine, colour me sold...

Yeah now that I've seen it set up and with that particular wallpaper, it's actually growing on me.
