I've been running LI8 since the leak was made available and it runs head and shoulders above LI7, I can't see the step back to 7 being viable. I had one viber FC on LI7 but so far not one single FC or issue on LI8, it seems to run beautifully

Does anybody have trouble transferring files from their PC to the SD Card? It could be my phone, or SD card, but sometimes when im transferring files a message pops up on my PC saying file couldnt be transfered because the device is not supported or stop responding.

Anybody know a fix or what the problem could be?

Cheers

Edit: File transfers to Phone ok, but not SD card. Guess its time to upgrade my 4GB Card :D

Try a USB adapter, or Kies Wireless or another PC.

Steve113: Hi,
Im looking at S3 LTE version "GT-I9305" which is quad core and comes with 2GB of RAM.
Apparently it has been released in Australia and Korea.
I guess the question one asks here is (and this might be early to tell) which of the 4g spectrum's will be used in NZ?

Does anybody know of any 4G phones being sold by Telecom/Vodafone so we know which 4G band to opt for?

Where is this being released?  I haven't seen this announced yet anywhere?

I'm having a strange issue where during calls rather than having the usual speakerphone icon it is showing a bluetooth speakerphone icon, I don't have bluetooth turned on and the only device I have paired it with previously was my pc.
Anyone else come notice or come across this or know of a solution? My google searching has failed me so far.

Tip: If you set up a Samsung apps account using a different country & have set up Kies to use that same country, you will get a message in Kies saying: "Your Device does not support software updating via kies".

This appears to happen if there is a conflict between the region set up in Kies and/or the Samsung apps account and the phone's CSC.

You don't need to uninstall/reinstall Kies to fix this.

1. Make sure you have a Samsung apps account set for NZ. If you haven't already got one, create one using a different email address to the other Samsung apps account you are using.
2. Launch regedit on your desktop.
3. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SAMSUNG then click on Kies2.0
4. Locate the "Region" key and modify it to NZ to set NZ as the region (assuming you were using a different country/region previously)

Launch Kies and login to the apps store with the NZ-region Samsung apps account details. Click to save the login info.
Exit and restart and you should now be able to update your phone via Kies.

Official JB for S3 is out now. First in the queue is Poland. I'm going flash it tonight. Good bye Vodafone firmware, a stupidly long wait. Will flash Vodafone JB firmware on top once it became available. I hate the wait for fixes that never going to come out on time.

I think it has been explained that it isn't Voda's fault, the option that is always there is to flash custom, saves getting upset and having to tell us about it :)

well mate its well known about android updates so not sure why everyone keeps on about it really. I'll wait until the flashaholics have played with the official release and the dev's do the stuff they do well, meanwhile happy with DLI8 it is working well and no problems

Typical size of a Sammy based custom rom too with all the default apps. I'm with jeffnz, I'll wait for the devs to play around with the official and work their magic on them before flashing it. In the meantime, happy with LI8 JB pre release I'm on.

Does titanium backup restore apps and settings? Bit of a nuisance reinstalling everything and setting up how you like it. Is there a no hassle way to restore? Think will also wait for a custom rom release of it.

Flashed the Polish ROM to my partners International S3 just now, running absolutely perfectly. JB really is a thing of beauty.

Used Mobile Odin - full wipe, EverRoot.
