After waking this morning, my phone's light was on letting me know I have emails but the phone wouldn't switch on. Removed battery etc but it appears it is also bricked. It's a Telecom phone with a 2degrees simcard. Jellybean update applied on Monday night. Any suggestions?

Kernel Panic. Some app probably modified your system, sometimes it seems to happened on Samsung phones (Non-rooted as well).

Try install CMRecovery and wipe Data then it will fixed your problem. But back it up before wipe is highly recommended :)

CMW will allow you to NAND backup of your files and cache.

The corruption seems to be residing inside Data/Data. Wiping DelvinCache and Cache won't fix your problem. You have to wipe Data.

Source? From my own experience and I have seen this more than 5 times on my phones and friend's phones.

How do I install CMRecovery when the phone won't switch on at all?

Dim email page after updating to JB issue

Standard phone, vodafone firmware update and now when viewing email notices the page is very dim. When I hit the return button it instantly brightens up (to what it used to be like prior upgrade) before changing the page to homepage etc

Looked in settings but can't see any options to set screen brightness pertinent just to email page

Other pages all looking fine and brightness is turned up (as I like it like that)
Not set on auto brightness

Any advice?

Actually sorry for this..resolved issue by changing the new settings in the power saving option under settings

try this from xda

Do you have Power Saving turned on?
If so, check the "background colour", untick that and the email will not go dim.

oops wrong quote sorry was for mail dimness

I've noticed since I updated I can no longer put the phone on Silent using the volume button, I can only get it to Silent vibrate.

Grab RingMode widget off Google Play.

I run Apex launcher and have it on the dock.

I've noticed since I updated to J-Bean on Telecom/XT by battery is dropping very quickly ,fully charged at 10:30am and not sitting on 73% , 4 hours later.
Is anyone else having this issue , or know of a fix/setting.
I have not rooted the phone by the way

Hi,
Sorry if i am posting in the wrong place as i haven't posted before.
I just think it is important to let people know that active docks will not work after the telecom jelly bean update. Seems to be a problem around the world. Unfortunately i found out too late.
