I'm disappointed, up until now I was convinced you were the messiah reborn

Rudder: Well that was mean. I drive all the way to the store then they say they made a mistake and that they actually may not have even placed my preorder despite me paying already. You would think after 4 visits and several calls warehouse stationary would of got it right and perhaps I can save some fuel.

I hope you had a few stern words for them about sorting their stuff out!

I would have been very surprsied if they had let you walk out with a phone.
They may have them, but they will be embargoed till the 29th.

It would not surprise me, however, if they stuffed up your order - judging by the fact that you have been in there 4 times already, I wouldn't be confident that you will get you preorder on Tuesday... I hope you do by the way.

I'd have been gutted, no matter how hard I tried I wouldn't have been able to restrain wild hopeful elation at the news I was getting it a week early!

Yeah, I knew it had to be a mistake so I asked the guy 2 or 3 times on the phone if it was indeed my phone they had in store and if I was allowed to pick it up. He assured me it was the case. When I got there the story changed. Apparently my order is in the book but isn't showing in their system. Eventually they said they have my order sorted now but I'm getting fed up with driving in so many times.
Fingers crossed it is truly sorted this time around

corksta: Now I suppose I'll be in trouble for using 'guys' when that specifically refers to the male sex and I haven't confirmed that I am speaking to an all-male audience. :)

Well in my house, guys means "the collective" my wife and daughter get called guys all the time!

Anyone who corrects me gets told promptly to bite me!

I know this is offtopic as well, but the trampoline I bought for my Son for Xmas arrived today, after 5 months of waiting! We are assembling it tonight after he sleeps in the cover of darkness, so that I can film his expression when he sees it (He is MAD for Trampolines which comes from his mother who was a commonwealth gymnist.)

S3!

Meh, just do what i do and randomly stick S3 somewhere in the post. Then it's on-topic.

Contrary to my post a couple of days ago, my pre-order through telecom has not gone smoothly at all, as far as I can tell it is all back on track now.

I have some questions that someone may be able to help with though:

The Telecom website does not have many specifics on the phone, other than S3, colour, 16gb. Am I right to assume that it will be the international version talked about in all the reviews?

Telecom has recently been marketing its commitment to 4G/LTE technology, is it at all possible that the phone I pick up next week will be a dual core LTE version hinted at for the US market?  I would prefer to have a go with the quad core personally, 3G is fine.

This is the first phone I have sourced in NZ for quite a while, I can only assume that nowadays all are unlocked quad band - will work with any providers sim (microsim)! is this correct?

I'm pretty sure Skinny still lock their handsets and charge a $30 fee for removing the simlock, but they are the only ones - VF was talking about it a while back but never did anything more.

Yes it's the international quad-core version. The LTE version isn't arriving for a while yet, and even then would only be sold in markets where LTE exists.

Any particular reason you ordered through Telecom as opposed to Warehouse Stationery?
