I moved my various colour coded mobile me calenders (9..like home, meetings, evetns, wife etc etc) to gCal and it works great.

With the One X calender I can subscribe to all those 9 cals via my google account..yay!

Q: When i go to set up a new appointment say for a meeting, i don't seem to be able to select a specific cal at all...is there any way to do this using the standard HTC One X cal?

Cheers

You should be able to select individual calendars by touching the "calendar" tab in the top left, deselecting "all calendars", then selecting only the calendar to which you want to add the event. Then, click the "+ Add" button, and add the event.

If your calendars aren't showing up, trying selecting "Menu > Refresh" and waiting a few minutes.

Right...it is not that I can't see and select different calendars, it is that I use them all regularly in one combined view.

So I might want to make an event appointment, then a meeting, then a home one...other than deselecting all of them and then re-selecting the one I want ONLY to make the appointment, I cant see any way to change which one it goes into on the fly, like most other cal apps I see everywhere

Ah ok, so you want to view all of your appointments on all calendars, but add events to only one calendar? Looks like you can add to an individual calendar by using the dropdown at top left when you are on the "Add Event Details" screen.

Yep, once you hit the "make a new appointment" button and it brings up the screen, you have to then go to the Google account button and click the pull down menu to choose the cal you want the new appointment to go into. Seems like a long winded way...dunno why HTC didn't just put it into their app?

Cheers for your help

Not sure if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread (only checked the last few pages) but 2degrees has pricing for the One X. If you register on their page they'll give you a $100 credit and sell it for $999 - kinda making it $899??

Telecom deal is the same.
They have however announced the $100 a month free phone plan. No else has released plan details yet. Im holding out for what vodafone will do.

I thought the difference between the Telecom and 2Degrees promotions was that the Telecom $100 was a discount on the price of the handset whereas 2degrees was a $100 credit on one of their plans. Subtle difference if all you want is the handset...

Not sure if it has been mentioned or officially fixed but if not someone has already gone and fixed the camera issues.
