Hey, I have noticed that a lot of my iPhone friends use and send me emoticons that come with iOS, is there a way that Androids can read it?

Probably not, iOS uses a set of Emoji icons specific to iOS itself - not like the standard Japanese Emoji characters.

I think the full emoji set has only become available under iOS 6 (as an alternate keyboard, very easy).
Prior to this you needed a third party app.

The emoji keyboard has always been in iOS since iOS4.

How are they sending them to you? If it is via text then yes you can, use Handcent (I think GoSMS also has them) and add the emoji pack. I have been using them for years on Android.
