Hi

I am keen on getting the Verizon DROID DNA. Thought i would order contract free from Verizon online shop via shipitto but they did not accept the address for shipitto neither prezoom. Does anyone know a way i can buy the phone from Verizon online shop(its currently priced at $600 USD)? They only accept US address and since i don't have a US address i tried using prezoom, youshop and even shipitto but none of their address's worked.

Would appreciate if anyone knows/can help me to get this phone ordered and shipped to NZ?

Thanks

hardy

The DNA supports all NZ networks too.

CDMA: 800/1900MHz; UMTS/HSPA: 850/900/1900/2100MHz; GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900MHz; LTE 700 MHz (Band 13)

Plus it has a beautiful 1080p screen and i like htc sense very much. For me its a perfect phone. Hence i want to get the phone very badly...:):)

I would be careful I wouldn't be suprised if the GSM / UMTS side is locked as Verizon is a CDMA network and does use this part of the phone

It shouldn't be locked as the relevant regulations (section e) do not allow Band 13 (block C) devices to be locked.

Doubt it would work here given Verizon's history, whatever the regulations say.

According to Paul Obrien this is coming to the rest of the world in a version that sports a micro SD slot, like the Japanese variant. I'd hold out for that.

That is only for LTE and not  WCDMA.

Interesting; I've seen that regulation quoted multiple times as a reason for Verizon to not be locking the WCDMA side of various phones (such as the iPhone 5). Also the first hit for "droid dna specs" says that it's unlocked.

But I could be mistaken :)

I would say "NO". Do not get a Verizon handset to use in New Zealand.

Last I heard Verizon are starting to unlock the GSM/HSPA bands on their handsets. They issued an update for the Droid Incredible (I think) doing exactly that a couple months ago plus what happened to "just google it"
