[UPDATE] ICS video walkthrough and installation guide!

Video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z-WQsleVMU

Written supplement and guide for how to get it on your Note at the blog:

http://www.androidnz.net/2012/02/samsung-galaxy-note-ics-installation.html

Hi everyone,

I picked up my Galaxy Note today :) Here's the *yawn* typical unboxing vid, with size comparison Vs the SGSII:

Naturally I have lots of stuff coming to the blog, but for now I thought I would post my guide for how to Root the Galaxy Note (mine is already Rooted, apps restored, Chainfire 3D running, PS3 controller working!).

Unboxing video, how to root video all coming soon.

Any other owners out there?

I'm posting up to the minute stuff in Twitter too.

Video also has bonus demo of the Note running the 'tegra-only' Shadowgun and outputting it via MHL to an external monitor and playing it with a PS3 controller!

Ah, good spotting, fixed now thanks!

Note fully charged this morning, off to work (fits easily in my work trousers and sitting at the computer also fine with it in the pocket).

Video demo of the pocketability. Be warned: extensive footage of my pocket area, some scenes may disturb viewers.

Thanks NZTechFreak, the "pocketability" video is something that many people want to know for sure. I am still holding off buying one until the prices are lower:)

Thanks NZtechfreak, good stuff, just what I wanted to know.

Will wait for a while for prices to drop & accessories to deploy before buying I think.

Just noticed that when your partner is pocketing the Note while standing, you actually talk about the S2 ... approx 4:25 on the video :)

Can I ask where you ordered your note from? Clove or Handtech?

Thanks!

Without sounding like an advertorial, nor someone who actually knows, I would think he bought it from Clove. Especially given that he writes for them and their blog. I'm certainly contemplating a purchase myself but finding it hard to justify it when I love my SGS2 so much.
