I've got a job coming up where people pay to have there photo taken with celebrity's, 2 x 2 hour sessions over two days. At the end of the 2 hours session I need to get the photos printed and back to be signed for the customers to be picked up as quick as possible, preferably no more then an hour or two. The photos will be either 8x10 or 8x12. Anyone know somewhere in Dunedin that might be able to help me? Price is also a consideration.

Lookup the local Kodak, Fuji or Harvey Norman Photo centres in your area. Edit: If price is a consideration you also need to consider the print quality and make sure this is reflected in your price to the punters. In this digital age, you would consider offering email only, email and print and print only options for the punters ?

Whenever I have been in Dunedin I have always used the Photo Warehouse. http://www.photowarehouse.co.nz/photo-warehouse-dunedin-city-store/ Really fast and quite cheap as well.

Cheers, guys, will try Harvey Norman and Wharehouse Stationary. Unfortunately the format of what I'm doing is already setup by the event organizers, I'm just taking the photos and printing them. I think they want hard-copies so the customers can get signed copies.

I think they want hard-copies so the customers can get signed copies. cool, just do a test run print with the chosen printer and present them to the event organisers to see if they like the quality / advise better or less quality to suit their budget.

What about take the photo, have a thick paper card that can be signed (or even pre signed) and then insert the printed photo...

Watch warehouse stationary! As they are in bed with the Warehouse chances are they did the same as here some years back and ditched their own processing lab in favor of a HP supplied Inkjet offshoot of Snapfish. Cartridges that don't need any calibration or smarts End result, ink that scratches off the photo paper simply by sliding something on it/it into something. Harvey Norman is a good bet, as long as its their full Colourchrome lab still (which is serviced and clibrated). The only downside is 1hr prints are often not that easy to come by as it has to be manned and dealt to and lots of people like their 22c 6x4s

HN still use a full wetlab. I agree, the HP Photo system is very second rate. Pretty sure TWH is pulling them out.

I did back to back Passport photo prints a week ago at Harvery Norman and Warehouse Stationery (South City Centre - Chch) and the Warehouse Stationery prints were AWFUL... Masssssively yellow and washed out. Awful. If it wasn't 2*6x4 for a total of 60 cents or so I would have got a refund.... As it was I just tossd the prints out. Cheers - N

If anyone else needs photos done in Dunedin, try Smiths City, good quality and always can grab a machine easily Doesn't take them long to process either

Had a look around a few places earlier today, didn't know smith city did photos, I'll go take a look at them tomorrow. Warehouse stationary told me they don't stock photo paper that large (it's only 8x10?!?). Harvey Norman are $3.99 for an 8x10 if your a VIP member, I'm not sure how to become a VIP member so I'll probably go down tomorrow an esquire about this. Theys aid about 20 mins to print + how ever many are already in Que in front of me. Didn't bother with the photo gallery or Photo Wharehouse as there both $10-15 for a 10x8 and they use a much slower process.
