I've been attempting to get iPlayer working on my XBOX Gold account uisng Unblock US but appears this does not work as could not get it installed  (looking through the old forums confirm that is the case)

I'm wondering if I can use a Blu Ray Player:
1) Will it download the UK apps once I set it up with the US DNS addresses?
2) Or do the apps on Blu Ray hardware normally come pre-installed and can not be changed?
3) Would another option be to import one from the UK?
Appreciate any help or any other suggestions to access iPlayer and ITV in NZ.
Thanks Smile

Darren

I presume it depends on the blu-ray player.

I know it works over the PS3 since that is what I use. you do have to signup to a UK PSN account though (but dont need a credit card for that) and set your DNS to the unblock-us one then BBC iplayer is available for download.

Thanks, that is good to know.

I would be interested if anyone has a Blu Ray other than a PS3 that has managed to get this to work? (as intending on replacing mine with a 3D one anyway)

I guess Sony would be a good start if PS3 works though!

if you don't really need a blu-ray player and just want to access netflix, itunes etc, then grab a Ps3 off trademe with a broekn disc drive (like this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/gaming/playstation-3/consoles/auction-565295176.htm) for cheap.

Ideally I would want a 3D Blu Ray player, perhaps PS3 is the way to go as it sounds like it is pretty much the only device capable of ITV Player and iPlayer.  Thanks for the tip...Laughing
