Right team, today is my last day at Telecom, after a tour of duty of ten years or so. Just wanted to say thanks to Mauricio and the Geekzone community for all the help, laughs and banter over that time.

I must admit I have felt a little out of my depth among all you tech gurus - as those that know me will testify, I have difficultly operating a mouse properly, so thanks for bearing with me.

I must give thanks to the Telecom ORT - they are the real backbone of the Telecom online team, and will continue to do so.

I was also really stoked to see the Telecom Tech blog get up and running and become a regular feature. I am open to reviewing phones in the future! Readers may find some irony in the fact I am about to experience the Vodafone network for myself in the new job - look out JohnR!

One thing I will say is that everyone's seen the media coverage of the announcements this morning, would be great if this Geekzone community, no matter what they agree or disagree with about the decisions the company makes, would  think about how the news is affecting those at Telecom in the forum, many of whom might be former or future colleagues, or folk you've chatted to or been helped by on Geekzone while this process takes place.

Thanks - keep up the good work!

You're going to be missed Richard...  And I think your dream job is going to be great for you.

See you on the intertubes :)

I work for Telecom, but as always my views are my own.

Thanks all - and sorry, I don't want to make this sound like I'm saying goodbye to Geekzone forever - I will be keeping an eye out and asking annoying questions! Cheers
