my business need a CRM software to help the business keep growing.

The requirements are as following:

1. sales and marketing management
2. email and attachments link with contacts
3. reminder
4. support job recording
5. reports

I had a look at Zoho and Batchbook, the price for basic plan is alright, but it's only got 2000 contacts limitation for Batch book. and next level up is a bit too expensive for me.

Is it true the free ones are not good as paid ones?

If some one could help me on this, it would be great appreciated.

Regards,
Alvin

hi igorportugal,

Thanks for your help on this, no I haven't tried them yet, but I've had a brief look on the websites.
Could I ask are you any one of them by yourself?

Cheers,
A

We use SugarCRM open source. It does most of what you are after, it is free and it is better than most commercial systems. It is not ideal, but it works. There are commercial systems that might work better for us, but I found the switch being too expansive.

I suggest ConnectWise depending on your budget and what you are using it for.

I wouldn't use free software for your business as if support runs out on it or they just give up on the project you will not be in a good place etc.

I suggest paid ones.

Sugar is easy to use and set up but you pay a lot for the support.

Hi Oriphix,

Thanks for your help.
ConnectWise looks like a PSA software rather than CRM
Correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks

Hi,

Sugar is not too complicated, however is not the most user friendly system either. It was designed using old school browser based technology, so often I feel you need too many clicks to achieve a simple task. This is probably the biggest complaint I get from my team.

That aside, it gives you the place to store and retrieve information. Important thing is to adopt its use for your specific business. If you develop good usage convention and discipline with your team it will be a very powerful tool.

Regards,

Igor.

I haven;t used it but spoke to people who were using http://www.nutshell.com/ - they seemed to like it and pricing is quite affordable and it integrates with heaps of other services.

Finally I've decided to use vTiger.
This one looks much more user friendly.

Thanks you all for helping on this.
