We are about to move out of our house and into the in-laws while our new house is built. We have MySky HDi and paid the one-off $599 fee so don't want to cancel Sky while we're there as I'm sure we'd have to pay for it again when we reconnect. The in-laws already have Sky, so my question is, if we move in can we get a tech to just put in another jack on the wall in the room we'll be in and connect ours up to use the same dish?

Cheers

Steve

Should be able to. Talk to Sky. There is no technical reason it won't work.

I did exactly this while I moved back in with my parents for 8 months. They already had RG6 being distributed around the house so I just put a splitter on the satellite feed and sent it to their original MySky box, and then to my MySky box in my bedroom.

Never had any problems.

I hope you are designing your new lounge/TV viewing area so you don't have as much screen glare as your existing place ;-)

Hahaha touché, Satch! Very hard to eliminate it altogether with plasma but yes special consideration will be given to optimising the viewing this experience for the new build.
