I'm getting the following message when I try to access content on isky  "The selected item is not currently available".  I have accessed isky before on my Mac but it's no longer working.  Any ideas how to rectify?  I'm confident my internet connection is fine. Thanks.

Which ISP are you with? Is it like that on every channel?
Is it all the time?
Are you using your ISP's DNS servers?

Oh, I thought this was just me having this problem!
If you try again and again, the 30th attempt usually works, but then it stalls during the first advertisement or keeps buffering after a minute of the movie playing. I gave up in the end.
I am using Vodafone as my ISP.

I've had this problem numerous times.  Both at home (VFNZ) and work (their 'own ISP').  It'll often be just one channel too.  I have logged a job with Sky, but it didn't seem like they were going to be able to fix anything in the short term.

what ever you do dont bookmark isky , it will work the first time but after that you will get error messages when you click on the link, you have to look up isky everytime for it to work.

Well in an interesting update I had been trying to use the latest version of Internet explorer which doesn't work so I tried chrome and it works how weird.

I am having the same issue.

The ads will stream fine then the selected show or movie will also stream fine for up to 10 mins or so, then I will get the annoying  ' The selected item is not currently available ' message, and the player stops and returns to the start.

I am with Vodafone naked broadband, and average 12 Mbps download speeds.

Youtube and other streaming video sites work fine.

Isky will be a great asset to me when they solve this issue!

I am on Vodafone's "Ultimate" Phone & DSL plan and I had only ever known it to work intermittently. Seeing this thread I tried it again, using the first catch up video I saw. Initially the page that the video was not available. I left it for about 10-20 seconds and it then went onto a 30 second ad, left it for another 10 seconds and it played the video.

Sorry for the lack of response but my isky miraculously started to work.  But now it doesn't again!  I'm an Orcon customer and I can't view anything (Live sport, Channels, Catch up...).  Not sure if this is related but I recently configured my or Orcon email to my Mac's mail.  Any ideas out there? Tx

I use iSKY on Orcon and have had no issues with catchup or live.

Using alternate DNS servers can, from experience, cause issues with iSKY.

Using DNS servers other than your ISP may make you appear to be from a geographical region iSKY does not serve.
The error people are reporting is a generic one that can indicate this is what is going on, but it doesnt pin point it being generic and all.

The more detail people can provide the better it can be investigated.
