I've had my n900 for a few weeks now and absolutely love it! The comments in this thread sealed the deal for me so thanks Euan etc for all the info in this thread.

Al, which Parallel Imported did you go to? I got mine from the one on Constellation Drive on the Shore and they had no problems letting me demo the one they had in the display case

Nesian, does yours have a "plain" keyboard, or does it have asian or arabic strokes on some of the keys?

hi evereyone

Is it just me , i brought a car charger  for the n900 , when  i start charging it the fm transmitter is virtually a no go , loses 90% of its transmit power , in other words u can't  hear it other than static  anyone else faced this problem ??????????????Frown

I will test for ya...will run FM transmitter while plugged into the car charger...see what result I get.

Do you also realise there is a FM Boost app available...maybe that could help too?

yeah seen that app around, haven't tested it yet ....used the fm transmitter yesterday for 40m straight battery didn't even move wish it was like that on 3 g  but i am going of the topic lol

Yup I recall having the same problem when I first got my N900, when charging in car I had to put it up in my sunvisor to get decent reception (closer to the aerial). Installed FMBoost and it has been fine since.

I had a similar problem with my N95 when using a wired output and charging it at the same time. Simple electrical interferance I guess...

fm boost also seemed to crash for me when i tried it. i've noticed this with a few apps but i guess thats wot you get when a lot of them are still in dev.

was a bit annoyed the other day when i found angry birds wasnt on the ovi site anymore as i had been meaning to get it. apparently it was removed from OVI store due to payment issues. anyone who wants the extra levels you can get them here.

has anyone installed meego on their n900 yet? if so, any review or wisdom coming?

The current release of MeeGo is nothing more than a command line shell...it has no GUI as of yet...so is of no interest or use to folks like us at this point, not even worth installing just for a look.

I'm most likely biting the bullet and buying from Parallel Imported tomorrow (but not at their retail price)

Is anyone keen on the recently released Nokia CP-408 case? I am looking to get a few over from the UK, around $55 each to your door probably.

I already have the CP-321, the original official N900 case...it's classy but simple, protects the N900 and looks good but nothing more...no holes for charger or earplugs.

That CP-408...I did not notice that...looks much more practical...

Yeah I'll have one Scott, I'm keen...tell me how ya want to proceed and no worries.

OK so I took the plunge and purchased today from PI, it is currently charging then I'll fire it up (I'm fussy like that.)

PI just received this stock today and it appears to be US stock due to the manual/flier in the box, product code is 0580952.

The only add-on app I currently desire is for twitter, witter is the best bet at the moment?
