I would be VERY surprised to see the basic TiVo box debut > $999 incl GST. Even that is a $100 premium over Aussie at current exchange rates. Looking at the new Panasonic PVRs some of them will be cheaper in NZ. I'd expect about 899/999 NZ$ initially, but who knows what may change in the next 3-4 months. Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat New Zealand as a Solution Architect for all things Linux, Virtual and of course Cloud. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.
