yes, perhaps a few incentives like buy one episode get one free or something like that.
A few of the later versions of series might help as well, I had a look through some of them and some are older series, not something you want to pay for anyway as they have already aired on TV..

All of caspa needs newer stuff on it actually.
The problem is even the movies on there aren't new release's and they want $6.95 for them.
You could get the same at the video rental store for a couple of $$ and keep it for a week.
If they want to charge that much they need to be the latest hot off the press, then I may get movies from them ...

They could almost replace the video store if they did it right, after all they have no discs to wear out, no store overheads as everything is downloaded...

They seem to have a lot more content on the USA TiV0..
Why can't they stream the same to here ??

compost:
Bainn: This is a BIG step in the right direction

A reshuffle of categories. With added sponsorship. Delivered later than promised.

No new content, and no change to pricing. So do you STILL think it's a big step?

I really hope CASPA will change focus to building a customer base instead of prematurely scrabbling for revenue.

You summed it up so well. "Caspa goes to another level!" - what a joke!

Aside from the added product advertising and reorganisng their content nothing has changed.

Has anyone tried to go to their Facebook that they also mentioned in that email? It seems it doesn't even exist???

Very disappointing.

At best it borders on misleading advertising, at worst fraud. Maybe  a complaint to the Commerce Commission is due.

From Tivo Aus:

EXCLUSIVE: Hybrid TV’s chief executive Robbee Minicola said that by late 2010 their CASPA video on demand service will have FREE advertiser funded pay per view TV shows and movies on TiVO Australia PVRs and other devices, in a one-on-one interview with Rambling Thoughts Blog late last week.

Read more here: http://tiny.cc/CASPAchannels

If you go to the very bottom, NZ does get a mention. We should be used to that.

This just got interesting. I can handle that.

"From September the CASPA TV content will be sponsored whereby you can pay eg: $1.95 for an episode or choose to make XYZ brand pay instead.

XYZ brand is then the sole advertiser during that program and if you choose this option you?ll be forced to watch several unskippable ads during the show which can?t be fast forwarded."

If this means most of the CASPA content will be free with ads and sponsorship then sign me up! Give me a Cadburys hat and I'll wear it all the time :)

Things look like they're moving along on this.

When does it become free on the cadbury sponsored Bella tv.
I just checked and mine is still saying $1.95 per episode.
I thought they said it was supposed to give you a choice of Pay or Sponsor Adverts for free TV
