From the earlier descriptions of the new channels it appears to be a case of "who cares"...

Amen to that brother.

I got so p'd off with my channels being changed almost daily that I unplugged my Ethernet connection a few days ago.
I stuck it back today to update my EPG data and got another message about the line up change, but at least it didn't force a re-scan.

The new channels have appeared on my Zinwell without any intervention, though not on my Magic, which I'm not planning to do a scan on!

Don't be surprised if tivo don't even add the channels to their lineup, they seem to be taking it upon themselves to *censor* channels they think you wont need

Tivo don't block any channels now, why would they do this in the future?

From the very first post in this thread (an announcement from Tivo) this would be an incorrect assumption.

Well I can tell you for a fact this is indeed happening. We live in the northern waikato, the signal is received from Te Aroha transmitter.

I have a HVR4400 tuner in our desktop PC, it quite happily receives *all* of the channels. The Tivo quite happily receives all those channels as well except for TV33.

If I do a re-scan, the tivo detects 20 channels, but will only display 19, totally ignoring TV33.

Why? who knows, asking tivo support directly they have failed to supply an answer, so I can only draw a conclusion that they have set out to deliberately block this channel (and any other they choose).

Maybe someone from tivo would like to comment? or offer an explanation?

I think it's an Asian religious channel.

Can anyone confirm exactly where these channels are coming from (if they are on at all)?
